CHAPTER I

There are three dimensions that define where we are - the dimensions of space. There is one extra dimension that defines when we are where we are - the dimension of time. For most of us that's the only reality we will ever experience, as we move around in space and time doing whatever it is that we do during this short visit to planet Earth.

Ella, a young middle school girl and her friends are about to discover that there are many more extra dimensions to explore, and that there are things in those dimensions that are alive. Sometimes, if you are lucky, or very unlucky, you will meet one of them.

Prepare youself for a journey into a very mysterious yet a very familiar set of dimensions, a different domain of reality, the Dimension Of Mind. Ella and her friends are there and you can meet them, but be careful not to let them know you are watching. That would be rude and they would be offended.

This is the 1st in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

This is Ella.
It's good to know who you are looking at.
She has a perfectly symmetrical face with soft lovely features.
She's of Eastern Indian descent, dark skin, brown hair,
and large brown eyes.
She's only 13 1/2 years old ( 19 in this image )
and is still growing.
She weighs 95 pounds.

Sleep Over

The TV is playing that tune, over and over, the one that plays at the end of the DVD when the movie is over.

Ella rubs her eyes, a little upset she fell asleep before the end of the movie, even though she's seen it a dozen times. Her best friends, Eileen and Roxana, are spending the night. Since she's officially a teenager now, 13 years old, she's allowed to have friends spend the night in her room instead of camped out in the living room, where parents can roam around and watch.

It's a little after 3AM, a night light and the TV illuminate the room, plus Eileen's book light. The moon is full so a little light streams in through the window. Eileen is writing in her journal and Roxana is asleep, still holding her rosary beads, always feeling a bit guilty for falling asleep before finishing her prayers.

Ella, Eileen, and Roxana have been friends since they were in diapers. They live on the same block and are as likely to be at a neighbors house as their own. Their parents consider each of them a daughter and the girls happily share their parents with each other. Nurturing was never a problem.

Ella is fascinated by science, Roxana committed to her religion, and Eileen wants to pursue a law degree but thinks mainly about boys. The girls would happily give the shirt off their back to their friends, and then steal half their makeup. Sibling style squabbles are common, but brief. The love shared between these three girls is intense.

This is Eileen.
It's good to know who you are looking at.
She has a perfectly symmetrical face with soft lovely features.
She's of Northern European descent, fair skin, honey blond hair,
and emerald green eyes.
She's only 13 1/2 years old ( 19 in this image )
and is still growing.
She weighs 90 pounds.
.

The girls are typical teenagers, most of the time, sometimes very mature and sophisticated. They can hang with 30 year olds and not miss a beat. Other times they're just silly little kids. They're giving, but demanding. They're selfless, except when they're selfish. They're adorable, most of the time, except when they make their parents cry. It's impossible to know them and not love them.

What the Hell?

"What the Hell is that?" Eileen screams pointing Ella's attention to her makeup table. "Watch your mouth, girl, Mom will hear! What? What are you pointing at?" Ella asks. "That, that-that smoky thing in front of your makeup mirror!" Eileen shrieks.

Aladdin's Lamp

A smoky, barely visible orb like thing floats above Ella's makeup table, then suddenly vanishes as if it knew it has been seen. Roxana is awake now, holding tight to her beads.

"Ella, did you see it?" Eileen wants to know. "Yeah, I did, for a second." Ella answers. Eileen points to the vintage Avon Aladdin perfume bottle and says "It came out of that lamp thing, your Aladdin lamp thing! It's a freaking Genie! You have a freaking Genie."

"Or a demon!" Roxana chimes in.

No Ouija

"I don't think it came out of the lamp, it was just floating around in that area." Ella says.

"Lets ask it for 3 wishes anyway, one for each of us." Eileen grins.

"No no, don't bring it back. It's probably evil. You didn't open some stupid portal with a Ouija did you, Ella, did you?" Roxana warns.

"No, I'm not allowed to have a Ouija. But just in case it's evil we need to do a protection prayer. I saw one on you-tube.

Protection Prayer

Ella folds her hands and begins to chant: "The Light of God - surround us. The Love of God - enfold us. The Power of God protect us. In the name of God is there something I can do to help you? Show yourself, or leave us!"

Smoky Figure

The girls stare around the room looking for an entity to appear, but nothing is there.

"Shut off the TV, it's too bright in here. Maybe it's afraid of the light." Eileen says.

"That isn't a good sign!" Roxana says as Ella shuts off the TV.

A few minutes pass and then slowly a smoky figure begins to take shape, and an image appears.

Fairy Godmother

"Hello There, Fairy Godmother." Ella says with a big smile on her face.

"That isn't Fairy Godmother." Eileen says. "That's Glenda the Good Witch of the South."

"Are you nuts? All I see is some glowy smoky orbish thing." Roxana says staring at Ella and Eileen like they've gone crazy.

"She's definitely Fairy Godmother, I just watched that movie two days ago and it's definitely her." Ella insists. "Hey Godmother, I have neither mice, geese, nor pumpkins and Mom would never let me go to a ball. What are you doing here?"

Spoken But Not Spoken

"You can see me?" A voice appears in their heads as if spoken, but not spoken. Ella and Eileen stare wide-eyed at the apparition. Roxana squeaks out a scream. "You weren't supposed to see me. I guess I messed up."

"But anyway, I am neither Fairy nor Southern Witch and you are Ella but not Cinder-Ella."

"What you see is what you wish to see given the 'vibe' you feel from my presence. Ella you resonate with Fairy Godmother and Eileen you resonate with the Good Witch. Roxana, unfortunately, your fear and your artifact block the illusion, but you can still see the energy, which is what I really am. I am a traveler, a visitor, from what you would call another dimension. I'm only here for a moment, visiting three very special entities, whose future is legendary."

Legendary?

"You mean us? We will be legendary? So you are a time traveler from the future?" Ella wants to know.

"Time and space, past and future, are artifacts of your dimensional framework, necessary constructs for the type of life experience that you enjoy. In my dimension we walk through three dimensions of time as you walk through three dimensions of space, but we're never any other place as here and no other time as now. So from your perspective, I'm from the future, but from my perspective, I just walked into a different room. That might be confusing, but I don't have any other way to explain it." The entity responds.

"Bla Bla Bla!" Eileen responds. "You sound like my physics teacher, but I think you're a freaking Genie, and I want my wish."

"You're not afraid of me? Do you see lots of inter-dimensionals here, like me?"

Ella responds. "We watch the CW, so we know all about spirits, demons, witches, and super-heroes. We said a protection prayer, so what's to be afraid of? By the way, what's your name?"

The Matrix

"I don't need a name, since where I come from I am known by, identified by my vibrational matrix. It's like a song, and when you hear my song, you know it's me. But if you need to use a name to label me, I resonate with the name Helana.

I'm sorry but I cannot manifest material things in your dimension. I only have the energy necessary for an observer. I barely have the energy to speak to you. I am not your Genie."

Stunning Green Eyes

"I know what you look like to us, so what do we look like to you? Is my vibrational matrix pretty?" Ella wants to know.

"I see an awesome dark haired beauty with stunning green eyes, the same vision you see in your mirror. You three are all gorgeous beauties. But I also see your essence, a bright and shining informational matrix glowing with the intense energy of life. Your dimensional domain is famous for rare and intense life energy, which is why many entities come here to feed on that energy. I am not here to feed, though, I'm here only to observe and to learn."

My Wish

"I want my wish!" Eileen insists. "If you can't manifest matter, how about knowledge. You spoke of our future. What boy will I marry and is he cute? Will I have kids? Will we be rich?"

Helana smiles. "You are wise for your age, Eileen, I can grant your wish for knowledge, but it's tricky. The future I see may not be the future that is. It is impossible to view the future without changing it. It is impossible to visit the past without changing it, which also changes its future. It gets complicated. You see there was a timeline where you did not see me, but now that you have seen me, that timeline is different, and the future I once saw is now changed, at least a little bit. Your present future and your future past are in flux, it will not be as predicted. But it will not be much different either. Temporal inertia will usually guide your timeline back to its original path, or very close to that."

Eileen purses her lips and stares at Helana intensely. "You sound like my Dad. Bla bla bla! He's always talking about timelines, multiple universes, temporal paradoxes, UFO people. He watches videos like forever on that crap. So in my 'not much different' future, what cute boy do I get to marry?"

Maybe - Maybe Not

Helana laughs. "You girls are so cute at this stage. I can give you some probabilities, some maybe's that are as likely to be maybe-nots, depending on your choices and free will. Based on what I saw your first real date, at a school dance, is boring, no resonance at all, and you never date him again. You date five more young men until you find the one that takes your breath away, but you both change, a lot, and you are divorced with a child. Your second husband you keep for the rest of your life, with three more children. That's the probability, but becomes less of a probability the more you think about it. Choose wisely, use discernment, and you can create new probabilities far superior to what I now see."

What About Me?

Roxana, sheepishly with tears in her eyes, asks "What about me? What do you see?" Helana looks lovingly at Roxana and says "Are you sure you want me to reveal your secret love to your good friends?"

Roxana answers "They'll find out soon enough anyway."

This is Roxana.
It's good to know who you are looking at.
She has a perfectly symmetrical face with
soft lovely features.
She's of Korean descent, fair skin but tans easily,
brown hair, and brown eyes.
She's only 13 1/2 years old, (19 in this image)
and still growing.
She weighs 88 pounds.
.

Helana predicts: "You have multiple possible futures. Your choices will determine which one you travel. One probable future does not involve dating, boys, or children. You will take a vow of celibacy and devote your life to your Church. The chance still exists, though, to not take that path and there is no consequence if you don't. I'm just showing you a probable path that I now see. As always choose wisely, use discernment, and you can create new probabilities far superior to what I now see."

Knowledge Is Power

"Ella, how about you? Do you have a wish for knowledge as well? I will be leaving soon as my time here is soon over."

Ella has a passion for science. She has always been pragmatic and opportunistic, never letting an opportunity slip away before exploiting it. Ella looks at Helana with a smirk. "You screwed up, didn't you? You let yourself be seen, you blew up multiple timelines, and you invaded our personal space and mucked up our future without even asking permission. You broke some rules, didn't you?

"When I complain about school my Dad always says it's so important because knowledge is power. You seem to have a lot of knowledge, so you must have a lot of power."

"I think you could be a valuable friend. I think you should say awhile. So your time here is not soon over. It will be over when I say it's over. As a time traveler, I'm sure you can return to where you came from within a millisecond of when you left. So my wish for knowledge is going to take some time, a lot of it. So Yeah. Get ready for a long journey with the three of us, my new best friend Helana, my Genie in a bottle. You belong to me, to us, for now."

"I really need to get home. Please don't hold me here. You have authority in this domain and I can't leave if you won't let me go. I messed up and got seen. Please, I need to go home."

"Ella, please let her go. She doesn't belong here." Roxana pleads.

"Nope! Don't you see girls? This is the opportunity of a lifetime. I think she should stay for a while, a few days maybe. She knows things I want to know. Helana, you can stay in my Genie bottle, for now. We need to get some sleep, so we'll talk in the morning."

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella

I'm not sure where to begin. This has been the strangest day of my life!

If it were not that two of my friends experienced the same thing I would just click the 'dismiss' icon and forget about it.

I have a real life Genie in my genie bottle!!

Well, not exactly a Genie. It's an inter-dimensional entity of some sort.

Roxana thinks it could be demonic. Eileen just wants to get stuff, wishes from her Genie. I don't know what to think. For a second I'm excited to meet this creature, but a second later I'm sick to my stomach, and scared.

I should just throw it in the trash I suppose, but I'm too curious to see what it's all about.

It's late. I'll tell you more tomorrow.

Good Night My Diary.

Chapter 2
The Entity

calibanner

This is the 2nd episode in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

CHAPTER II

Trapped in a 3D world of time and space
Helana needs a place to be.

The Entity

It's morning (barely) as the girls awake on a lovely Saturday. No school, time to plan the days creative ( or mischievous ) activities.

Ella and her crew go about their morning rituals with little thought about the early morning drama until Roxana suddenly turns to the others and blurts out "Oh My God ... Did that really happen last night? Is the demon still here?

Ella gives Roxana a blank stare for a second or two, and then says "Uhh .. Yeah. That did happen. She's not a demon though, we said the protection prayer so a demon could not have stayed here. Helana? Are you here somewhere?"

"Holy crap!" Eileen says, touching the Alladin lamp on the makeup table. "This thing is cold as ice. What the ****?"

Ella rushes to the makeup table and puts her hands on the lamp. "She's starving! She ran out of energy! Come let's touch the lamp so she can get some of our energy."

"I'm not touching that thing!" Roxana shouts. Ella and Eileen hold the lamp and after a minute it warms up.

Soon the apparition appears, but only as a voice in their heads. "Thank you for breakfast, my lovely friends. Now that you have trapped me here, you will have to feed me, or I will fall asleep and disappear. Don't worry though, I don't eat much."

Vampire?

"She's a freaking energy vampire!" Roxana says with a look of concern. "If we keep feeding her she will eventually suck all our energy and even steal our soul. In the name of Jesus tell us who you really are!"

Just Like You

"No worries, Roxana. I appreciate your concern, and it's a valid concern, but I'm just like you. I can be good, or I can be evil, just like you. It's a choice, and I choose to be good. I'm basically your age, a schoolgirl in my domain, studying the history of many domains, such as yours. When I studied your story I fell in love with you and was compelled to come to visit you, at a time and place where we would be about the same age. And Jesus, he has many names and that's the name you use for the one who is the owner of your domain. Nothing exists here without his permission, and I honor your devotion to him. And don't worry, your soul can't be stolen, unless you give yourself away."

"Are those the words of truth? Or the words of a trickster? I've heard about tricksters, they exploit you through deception." Roxana wants to know.

"I could easily trick you." Helana responds, "But like I said, I choose to be good. I love you and would never deceive you. But don't judge me by my words, judge me by what I do, and as time goes by you will know that I am good. The fact that you have trapped me here is evidence that you have authority over me, not the other way around. This is your domain and I'm just a visitor here. I'm not really your Genie, granting wishes and such, but until you release me I will always be your friend, never your enemy."

History Lesson

Ella is curious."So you studied our history, that history is our future? And you said we're legendary. Tell us about that. How are we legendary?"

Helana responds "I'm hesitant to say too much, I'm actually not supposed to say anything because it could erase the future and mess it all up. But I will say this because the seeds of it are already in your minds. Your domain is going through a phase of enhanced dynamic transformation. Politics will be transformed. Religion will be transformed. Science will be transformed. The three of you will be instrumental in those transformations, Ella being a science transformer, Eileen a political transformer, and Roxana plays an instrumental role in the transformation of religion. You three will be famous not only in your domain but across many domains of existence, including mine. But don't get big heads about it, there are many others you will have to work with in the transformation and you can be easily replaced if your time lines get too far off track."

"If you're just a kid like us how do you know all this stuff?" Ella wants to know.

"It's what we study in school. Our schools are a bit different than yours, but in many ways are the same." Helana explains.

Eileen chimes in "Well, it's Saturday. No school today!"

Saturday Fun

Ella takes charge. "Ok, enough of that heavy stuff. It's Saturday. Lets head to the market. My allowance came in. There might be a new movie out. Helana, you can come too."

"What do you mean, your allowance 'came in'?" Eileen wants to know.

Ella responds "Direct deposit."

"Dang I only get cash. No good for downloading music." Eileen says with a frown.

"We'll get your cash on the way. Lets get our bikes. Helana you can ride in my purse." Ella says, grabbing the lamp on the way out the door.

The Marketplace

The kids head to The Marketplace, a local community square. It's their goto hangout. There is a library, a bank, a number of shops, some restaurants (fast food and sit down) and a movie theater. On Saturday it's filled with bicycles from all the neighborhood kids.

"Should we tell our friends about Helana?" Eileen asks.

"Oh No Way!" Ella says. Roxana agrees with "No, Not Even, Ever! It has to be our secret."

Helana's voice appears in their heads "You are wise to keep me a secret. If my presence is known it will turn your friends into a mob, it would spin out of control, and you would have to send me home. Anyway, I will be invisible to them, and they would just think you're crazy."

"Why are you invisible to them" Ella wants to know?

"Because I choose to be invisible to them. I came here to visit you, not them." Helana responds.

"If you can choose to be invisible, then why did we see you?" Eileen asks.

Helana responds with a pouty voice "I don't know, I mean, I guess I messed up. I love you guys so much, I just couldn't help myself. I wanted to be a part of something so special, like what you have. What is it you call it, 'fangirling'? I'm sorry. You guys are like celebrities to me. It was stupid. You can send me home if you want. It's wrong of me to crash your crew."

"Aww, that's sweet. We're celebrities!" Eileen quips.

"Hmm" Ella says with a look of concern. "You're going to be in big trouble when you get home, aren't you?"

Helana whimpers "You have no idea!"

"Well, We forgive you. You better hang with us for awhile, before you go home and get your butt kicked, if you even have a butt where you come from." Eileen says with a smile.

Good Taste

The girls enjoy some ice cream as they plan their Saturday activities. It's a nice day as they sit and people watch ( or boy watch ) the neighborhood traffic.

Eileen asks "Hey Helana. Do you have ice cream where you come from?"

"We have similar confections that we enjoy, when in physical form, but nothing compared to what you have here. I have no way to taste your ice cream in your domain. It sounds good, though."

Ella is curious "Helana, since you're telepathic, can't you just taste what we taste?"

If Helana could blush she would be bright red "Oh My God! No! Ewww! You don't understand. In order to feel what you taste I would have to blend with you. I would, Uh, feel everything, very intimately. It would be like sex. I love you - but not that way."

Now Ella is embarrassed "Uh. Yeah. I'll never ask that question again. I guess there are some things here that you will never know."

Eileen giggles. Roxana pretends she didn't hear a thing.

The Pool

The girls watch as a number of students with towels walk towards the school gym.

Eileen squeals. "The swim team is practicing today. Lets grab our suits and go swimming."

Ella cautions "No way. There's no supervision there today. Mom will kill me."

Eileen argues "The swim team is there, and their coach is there."

"You mean that boy is there that you like, that high school boy, and the coach is there to supervise them, not us." Ella says giving Eileen a look of disapproval.

"Can your mom come and watch us? Please?" Eileen pleads.

"No, she's busy today, and even if she did you would get 'the speech'. 'Three pretty middle school girls in bathing suits in the company of older high school boys, not a good idea.' That's what she would say." Ella says as Roxana nods her head.

"I agree." Roxana says. "Not a good idea at all."

"Oh God, you guys! It's not like I'm going to flirt with some high school guy. I just want to go swimming today." Eileen says.

Ella speaks with a firm voice "No Way! It makes me feel uncomfortable having those boys stare at us and make fun of us, but for some reason you like it. It's not going to happen, not today anyway. And don't you dare go by yourself!"

Eileen is frustrated but doesn't want to get into a fight with her friends. "Helana, do you have these problems on your planet too? Friends who spoil you fun?"

"Yes, sometimes that happens." Helana says. "But don't be so hard on your friend. What you want is inherently dangerous, and it's a danger you are not prepared to deal with. Trust the ones who love you, and be safe."

"Ohhh My God! You guys all sound like my Mom. Can we please just go somewhere else? Lets go to the park and feed the ducks or something dumb like that."

"I would very much like to meet these ducks you speak of" Helana says as Ella and Roxana follow Eileen who stomps toward the park.

The Park

It's a nice day as the girls sit in the park, watching the ducks and geese enjoying the pond. It's an opportunity to continue getting to know their new friend, Helana.

"So Helana, first let me apologize for Eileen, pouting over there by the water. She gets that way when she doesn't get her way, and lately all she thinks about is boys. I really hope she doesn't get in trouble." Ella says as she adopts Helana as her new confidant.

Helana is sympathetic "No need to apologize, I understand teenage angst, believe me. Our desires where I come from are not so sexually oriented, but they can be just as intense. It's important to have the support of parents, family, and those who love you to keep you on a path that's safe. She will be angry with you for awhile, but eventually that anger will turn to love, since it's all sourced from love. With your support she will stay safe, and there will be those days where she will keep you safe as well."

"You speak as if you're some kind of old philosopher. How do you know all this stuff?" Ella wants to know.

"It's called indoctrination. Most of the time I'm parroting, just repeating, what I have been taught in school. Here you have separate disciplines, such as Science, Religion, Politics, etc. In my school those are all blended together into a single discipline, and it is from those lessons that I am sharing with you. If you ask me how much of that I know is true, how much of that do I actually believe, well, I'm not so sure about a lot of it. My experience, though, tells me that it's a better idea of how things really work than I could come up with by myself. So carefully consider, speculate, on what I say, and test it for yourself."

"Im curious" Ella says "Can you see those ducks on the pond, or do you just know they're there."

"I can see them." Helana responds.

"How?" Ella want to know "You're basically just smoke in our domain, you don't have eyes, how can you see?"

"It's hard to explain, and I'm not sure of all the answers, but here goes" Helana explains. "I'm more than just smoke, or an image projected to your consciousness, I'm a complete fully formed dimensional entity with hands and feet and arms and legs and eyes, and just about everything else that you have. But I'm out of phase with your dimensional framework, and my body extends into more dimensions than you can see, so I'm either completely invisible here or you just perceive me as a ball of energy, or a wisp of smoke. So in that sense I can see just like you can, but there's more."

"My physical eyes in my physical body do have trouble seeing here, since most of the light from your domain just passes through. But I do see a little, a smoky image of what is in front of me. But I am, and so are you, more than just a physical creature. We're also spiritual, and although I am here in my out of phase physical body, I'm also here in my spiritual body. So I can not only see like you can, but spiritually I can see in every direction at the same time, and I can see inside things, like Xray vision, and to a certain extent I can even see through time. But don't be jealous, although my experience of reality is more data intensive and I can see much that you cannot, your experience of reality is much richer, much deeper, more intense, more emotionally complex, and I should probably be jealous of you, and in fact I am. In time, you too will learn to travel in spirit and see many wonderful things you can now hardly imagine."

"You have a complete body?" Ella is fascinated. "I want to see you, see you as you really are."

"Umm .. let me work on that." Helana explains. "I'm struggling to find enough energy even to speak with you. I wasn't planning to stay here and your domain is too energy dense for me to manifest any clothes. I'm like, sort of naked here, and I would be embarrassed if you saw me that way. I guess I'm scared that you wouldn't like what you see. I'll work on manifesting a proper outfit and then I'll reveal who I really am, soon. But that manifestation will be very slight, like you can see through it, because I don't have the energy available to fully manifest in solid form. That takes a LOT of energy in your energy dense domain.

Ella laughs "Don't worry, we girls have been taught not to judge based on appearance. By the way, when we're naked, please turn off that 360 degree vision and look the other way. I'm not comfortable with that either."

"Of course!" Helana says "I would not dream of violating your privacy, and if I see any peeping entities, and there are some who do that, trying to violate you, I'll chase them away for you."

"Thank you! I knew you would be a valuable friend."

Ella's phone beeps with a message from Mom. Dinner is ready and the girls head home.

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella

Oh Goodness! Eileen was a brat today. That boy walked by and it was all she could think about.

We're getting to know our new friend from another dimension. So far, I really like her. She still scares me, though. It could be like one of those movies where there's this nice looking person who at the end turns into an evil monster.

But I think she's OK. She's cool.

She says that she isn't supposed to be telling us stuff, about where she comes from, or our future, and stuff like that. But she does anyway. That's really cool.

Helana keeps saying that me and my crew will grow up to be important people. We even show up in the history books of the future. That doesn't really make any sense to me. I've always assumed I would be a stay at home mom, like my mom, and raise my kids.
But if I'm some important person in the future then I must have gone to college, become a physicist or something, and join the military or become a senator or something. I don't see that as my future, but who knows?

She says she's a school girl just like us. I'll take her to school with me on Monday. This could be fun.

Good Night My Diary.

Chapter 3
History Class

calibanner

History Class

"This is fun! So many beautiful energetic young beings here." Helana comments as Ella enters the school grounds on a cold and rainy Monday morning.

"Uggg." Ella comments "I have history class first period and it's so stupid, so boring. Nothing but one war after another war all over the planet."

"We call that the epoch of Empire. Your planet is going through that stage right now, hopefully near the end of it. Empire rises and falls, creating itself from the ashes of a previous one only to destroy itself all over again. Empire creates a thriving economy, then through greed, runs it into the ground. As the economy crashes Empire then attacks its neighbors to harvest their resources, only to exploit those to extinction. It's a painful process, but a necessary lesson for those who survive." Helana speaks of what she has learned in her history class.

Ella shakes her head and says "That isn't what my book says. It's all about winners and losers. The good guys won this one and the bad guys lost that one, and how we're the best ones and the saviors of humanity. It's all BS if you ask me."

"Whether it's your personal history, or the history of the planet, it's always a difficult subject. Separating the fact from fiction, the truth from the politics, the honesty from the denial, it's usually all a mess. History, though, the real history is the story of your becoming, and it's important to discover that message from the mess that you find in your history books. It's difficult to move forward without an honest assessment of where you came from."

Ella laughs "Cool I'll put that in my term paper and see what grade I get. I have to be quiet now, we're in class. I'll talk to you at recess."

"You don't have to talk out loud to me. You can just think to me."

"Think to you? Am I telepathic too?" Ella thinks, targeting Helana.

"You are when you're with me" Helana says with a smile, even though Ella can't see her smile.

"Wow, it worked! This is cool. But my thoughts are all jumbled up before I actually speak them out. Isn't that going to be confusing?"

"It's no different than speaking out loud. Let your jumbled thoughts coalesce, and then send the final thought, like pressing the send button on your instant message device. There are more sophisticated methods I can teach you, such as sending images or a complete download. But that will take some practice."

"Wow. I wish I could do that with my whole crew."

"With practice ... maybe."

"Well, no offense, but I have to take notes on this stupid lecture. We'll do more telepathy at break time.

Lunch Break - With Bugs

The girls are at their special table, getting stared at by other groups of students. The various cliques, groups, and crews are highly competitive. Ella's crew doesn't play the competition game, so they're known as the stuck-up-bitch crew by many of the students. Middle School culture is brutal.

"What do you think of our school?" Eileen asks. "We like it, sometimes, but most of the time we hate it."

"It's very interesting. It's very different from my school. Since we're a telepathic species, we don't use books. We get direct downloads of information from our teachers, but there's some debate that we would learn subjects better if it was done slower. A download can happen in seconds, but it could take a lifetime to actually assimilate the knowledge. So it's like in one of your classes where they show a movie first and then spend the rest of the class time discussing it. In my school, there's a download at the beginning, and then as that starts to sink in, we talk about it."

"I wish I could download a subject in seconds." Ella giggles. "I can assimilate later when I take a nap."

"There are a lot of bugs in here." Helana says.

"Eww. Where?! Is it on my food?" Roxana wants to know.

"I'm sorry, I should call them attachments." Helana explains. "They're extra-dimensional entities that feed off the emotional energy of people, like mosquitoes feeding off your blood. They're invisible to you but I can see them. Some of the students are infected with them. They're nasty creatures. We call them bugs."

"Where do they come from? Are they dangerous? Are they demons?" Roxana wants to know. "Can they be exorcised?"

"They're opportunistic creatures that have come to your domain, drawn by the rich source of their sustenance. They come here to feed. Technically a demon is a spirit or entity with evil intent. None of these bugs have any intention of being evil, they're just hungry. Like any parasitic infection, though, they can be dangerous." Helana explains

"Can they kill you?" Ella asks.

"Indirectly they can create a dangerous situation that can result in death. They feed on emotional energy and some of them have the ability to create thoughts in the host to maximize emotions, such as thoughts of the fear of death that can create panic attacks. Some will encourage dangerous risky behavior, such as driving too fast, standing too close to the edge of a cliff, and stuff like that. Many of them enjoy the feelings of intoxication and encourage their host to drink and do drugs. For kids our age the emotions of falling in love, or inappropriate or dangerous sexual activity is a favorite for them. Any of these can be very damaging, or even get you killed."

"Is there something like bug spray we can use on them? Can we kill them like roaches?" Eileen asks with a serious look.

"It's not a good idea to destroy other life forms, even if they're bugs. The bugs, although primitive, are living beings that have a purpose in the universe, just not here. Trying to kill them would mean that we're beings of evil intent and our power would be too weak. Instead, let's do the opposite, and it may sour the milk they feed on and they'll leave on their own.

"So how do we do that?" Ella asks.

"I'm not sure if this will work, but lets give it a try. It's a mixture of a visualization technique and the most powerful healing method in existence: love and forgiveness. These bugs are at least somewhat telepathic so let's give this a try."

"I will guide you through the room to the infected ones and I want you to visualize a golden healing light shining on them and send them thoughts of love, and of forgiveness. Let go of any thoughts of judgment, no matter how distasteful you might find this person. These infected individuals can give off a distasteful vibe, the kind of people you might want to avoid, but ignore that, love them, forgive them, and shine the golden healing light on them. That will calm the emotions of your friend and the bugs will have nothing to eat.

"Seriously? Are you kidding?. If we do that here we're good as dead, socially anyway. The other kids will think we're weird." Ella complains.

"I will do it! They already think we're weird. You guys just follow along behind me. I will pray for them as well." Roxana says.

Bug Spray

The girls slowly walk through the break room, pausing briefly by the infected students. The students are indeed freaked out by the procession of these three girls. No one has a clue what they're doing. The students think it's some sort of ritual like witches do.

"Well, Helana. Did it work? People are staring at us." Eileen asks.

"It worked very well. The entities detached and left. They left in quite a hurry. Roxana is a powerful force. I'm surprised."

As the girls clean up their table and prepare to go to their afternoon classes they're approached by two young women with black lipstick. They normally dress in all black but today have to wear their school uniforms. They call themselves the Sisters of Darkness.

The sisters speak in unison "We saw what you did. You are no longer the stuck-up-bitch crew. You are now the stuck-up-witch crew. Be careful. We know who you are. We know what you are."

The girls are shocked by the threats. Ella says with a serious look "I was afraid this might happen. We do need to be more careful. This could get ugly."

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella
Today was weird, very weird, but also fantastic.

I took Helana to school, and she saw all these like spiritual bugs crawling all over some of the students. The bugs were like sucking energy, like mosquitoes.

Helana showed us how, well Roxana mostly, how to chase them away, and we did that, but we got looked at weird and now they all think we're witches. I don't think we should do that again.

I like Helana more and more every day. It's nice to have someone to talk to when I'm in my room all alone, except now I'm not all alone. I hope my crew doesn't get jealous. Helana is their friend too.

I'll tell you more later. I'm going to spend some quality time with my new friend.

Good Night My Diary.

Chapter 4
Just Us

calibanner
This is the 4th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

"It's just us tonight" Ella explains. "The rest of the crew are home with their family. Sometimes, maybe this weekend, we can stay there, another sleepover. But most of the time it'll just be you and me. I'll keep you close so you won't freeze."

"I'm OK with that. Your warmth sustains me. Remember to eat healthy, or we will both get sick." Helana says.

"I'm not on the phone, Mom!" Ella shouts as Mom opens the bedroom door. "It's downstairs anyway. I'm practicing for speech class, and talking to my imaginary friend." Ella's Mom shakes her head as she closes Ella's door

"I'm not supposed to be on the phone after 9." Ella explains.

"I understand." Helana says. "At your age your body needs lots of quiet rest, your physical form is transforming rapidly and it can't do that if you're up all night."

Helana's Story

"Tell me more about you, the story of you. I want to know everything. Roxana thought that you were a demon, but I think, maybe, that you are an Angel." Ella asks, still curious about her mysterious new friend.

"No, I'm not an Angel, just a girl like you, but from a different, a very different place. There are a few Angels around, though, I can't always see them but I can sense them. I have a few Angels of my own, although I have yet to meet them. There is a special ceremony where I come from where we meet our Angels, sort of like your Bat Mitzvah, or a Quinceañera, but I'm not old enough for that yet."

"Why do we have Angels? What do they do?" Ella asks.

"You, Me, and trillions of other beings that exist, are members of a very large royal family, the sons and daughters of the One Infinite Creator. As a Royal, each of us has servants that care for us, and the Angels are some of those servants. That's what my religion teaches anyway, and I have no reason to believe that it's not true."

"Really?" Ella asks with a look of disbelief. "Then if we're Royals, cared for by Angels, why do all the horrible things happen to so many on this stupid planet. I see it on the TV and it's just awful what happens to people. Are the Angels not very good at their job?"

"As Royals, we have the free will to do whatever we want and like children without discipline we misbehave and create trouble for ourselves. We invite evil into our lives. Because of free will, the Angels can't stop it from happening, but they're always there ready to help if we let them. The universe is filled with spoiled children that create horrible things. I have been taught that it's a necessary part of our development, to learn from these mistakes and create a better reality, but I'm not sure that's true, or maybe not the whole story. Something is wrong with this universe, something that all of us need to help fix. We're not old enough yet to do much about it, but I feel the time is coming when it will be up to us to make it better, and the Angels will help us do that."

"Oh My God! This is starting to sound like one of those movies where a few kids get together and save the world."

"Maybe those movies are more prophetic than you might think."

"You travel through time, does it get better?" Ella asks.

"It does get better, except when it gets worse. Although I can move through time, there are many places in time, and in space, where I am not allowed to go. So I never know the whole future, and if I did know it, knowing it would change it. It's very complicated and very confusing. It seems that the struggle is eternal, but maybe that's something that we can fix. Who knows?"

"Ok Ok, this is making my head explode. Putting that eternal struggle aside, tell me about you. What planet do you come from? What color is the sky? Do you have a boyfriend? That sort of stuff."

Chemical Encoding

"We don't always live on planets but that's a long story. First let's define the differences between you and me so all this will make sense."

"First, at the core of what we call existence, every 'thing' that exists is made of these little spinning doughnut shaped vortexes like little tiny whirlpools in space. These little whirlpools self-organize into everything that exists, including you and me. How these things self organize, though, is a function of information. Any organized thing such as a rock, a tree, or you and me, is organized based on an information matrix and all these little spinning donuts whirlpool things fit themselves into this information matrix in order to become whatever it is that exists. I know I'm not explaining this very well, but the download I got in school is very confusing. Our scientists pretend they understand this stuff, but they don't actually understand it very well at all."

"We call these little spinning donuts a 'unit' of existence. Moving up from rocks and stuff to living things we have what we call a 'unit' of life, which is what you call a cell. A cell is the fundamental unit of life and actually is the only thing that's actually alive. Every living thing is either a single cell or a group of cells cooperating to create a more complicated structure, such as plants and animals. You are a group of trillions of cells all cooperating in a collective to create you, and you are a gorgeous collection of cells."

"In the same manner as units of existence fit themselves into an information matrix to become rocks and stuff, cells, the units of life, also fit themselves into an information matrix and this information matrix defines the form of life, the plant or creature that they become. Each cell carries a copy of this information matrix inside it in a chemical called DNA. This method of storing a copy of the information matrix inside each cell is called 'Chemical Encoding'. That's what we call it anyway, I'm not sure what you call it here on your planet."

"The information matrix is more than just a picture of you, fully grown. It contains a progressive algorithm that defines, minute by minute, the entire developmental progress of your body as it grows. It basically has a picture of what you are supposed to be at 10 minutes old, 20 minutes old, 4 years old, 20 years old, and so on."

"Okay! Stop! Stop! My head is exploding again. Slow down with the download. Anyway, I need to go pee." Ella complains.

"I'm back. I've got my journal to take some notes. This is really good stuff, but please go slow. Your downloads are intense."

"No worries. I will wait for you to catch up. This is a good review for me too since it takes time for me to assimilate the knowledge. So we're learning together, in this little night school of ours."

"Now, here's the point I was getting to. All non-living stuff, and all living stuff, fundamentally, at its core, is information. Information, just like a movie encoded on one of your DVD's, can be stored in a variety of ways. In your domain of 4 dimensions, Chemical Encoding is the method for storing the information necessary for life, for living things."

"Why?" Ella wants to know.

"Well, your domain is somewhat limited in its dimensional structure. There must be at least three spatial dimensions that are out-folded and usable for a 'thing' to exist. Any less and it's just a line or a dot and you can't make a thing with structure with less than 3 out-folded dimensions. In addition, in order for any 'thing' to be able to move and change you must have at least one dimension of time. It takes time for things to move. So those are the basic requirements for a dimensional framework where things can exist and life can exist. Your dimensional framework just meets the basic requirements, and it's somewhat limited. That's not to say that it isn't a beautiful place where beautiful creatures such as you can exist, it's just that there are dimensional frameworks where more dimensions are out-folded and different forms of life can exist, and I come from one of those."

Energy Encoding

"So your dimension is better?" Ella asks.

"Different isn't necessarily better. I adore you and would love to be like you, so maybe your dimension is better. I guess it's a matter of taste."

"So if you are not like me, what are you?"

"Your information matrix manifests in physical form using Chemical Encoding. My information matrix manifests in energy form using Energy Encoding. You are a physical being that can manifest as an energy being that you call spirit. I am an energy being, spirit if you will, that can manifest in physical form. So you are born physical and can manifest spirit. I am born spirit and can manifest in the physical."

"But because I am first an energy being with more dimensions to play with it's easier for me to do things like come here and visit you, who I love more and more every second.

"I love you too! Wow! I didn't even know that until I said it. I love you! Wow!"

"Hmmmm, I just got a burst of warm energy from you. The power of love is intense, almost intoxicating."

Birth

"Let me continue quickly to answer your questions, before you fall asleep. I don't want to keep you up all night."

"I said we don't always live on planets, but that isn't the whole story. We don't need physical planets to live on as you do, but we do manifest as physical on a variety of planets, not just one. We also don't need space ships to move from one planet to another. We move energetically through time and space to a planet we like, and then re-manifest as physical."

"The real story, which I think is what you really want to know, is how we're created, how we're born."

"In your world, the Chemically Encoded DNA carries the legacy of millions, billions of years of life history, each individual having their own unique copy. When your parents bring their DNA together it blends and creates a new and totally unique copy, and that copy becomes you. The information in your unique DNA manifests as a physical body."

"In my world, the Energy Encoded information, which is the template for DNA, carries the legacy of billions of years of our life history. When my parents came together it wasn't chemical, it was energetic. They blended their energy, effectively becoming one. They blend as spirit. Blending and becoming one is our equivalent of having sex. Our energy matrix is based on the vibrations of all the elemental parts, it's like a musical song and when my parents blended, the subtle differences in their vibrations created a new song, and that song is me. That's how we're born. When my parents separated from their blending, there were not just the two of them, there were three, which included me, as a baby spirit."

"So you are created as physical and from that emerges your spirit. We're created as spirit and then manifest as physical. After I was born we found a place in time and space where there's a community of my kind, we manifested our physical forms, and became a family, and that's where we lived until I ran away."

The Runaway

"You ran away? You're a runnaway? What the hell?"

"Oh crap! Did I think that out loud? I didn't mean to say that, but yes. I sort of ran away. I'm not really supposed to be here. And I was just going to be here for a minute, but then you saw me and trapped me."

"Oh man, this is difficult. I love you more and more every minute too, so I don't think I ever want you to leave. But because I love you I can't keep you here against your will, especially if you're going to get into big trouble. So if you need to go home, I release you." Ella says, starting to cry.

"I'm already in big trouble, so I might as well stay. Please, let me stay a little while longer. Can I?

"Yes, you can stay. You better freaking stay! But stay because you want to, not because I trapped you."

"Thank you so so so much. I won't be a burden on you, I promise."

"Helana? Do you sleep? Or are you awake all night?."

"I sleep, for the same reasons that you do. And I dream. Tonight I will dream of you."

"Ok. I need some sleep and I think, so do you. Sweet dreams." Ella places Helana's lamp near her so she won't get cold.

Hello Diary
It's me again, Ella

This is really weird. I just met this girl Friday night, and here it is, Monday night, and she's like my best friend, and I love her. I just fell in love, with a girl! This is wonderful, but it scares me. She could still be a trickster and I'm getting in big trouble.

For now though, I want her to stay. I have so much more to learn. I want to know where this story is going to go.

Good Night My Diary.

Chapter 5
Damage Control

calibanner
This is the 5th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

"Dude, seriously, we need to work on damage control after yesterday's debacle" Eileen says.

"Debacle? Is that your new word for today? Anyway, I have a plan." Ella says "We just gotta keep those goth girls under control. And don't say 'Dude'. My dad says that."

"We did a good thing yesterday." Roxana says "But those demon thingies are just going to keep coming back. I don't think we want to get into the business of exorcising them again and again."

"Yeah." Ella agrees. "Just special friends who are infected, not the whole school."

"Whoa! Wait a minute!" Roxana says looking at Ella, with special attention to her purse with the lamp in it. "Somethings different with you two. You guys didn't .....?"

"What? Oh No! Oh God No!" Ella responds.

"No way! Totally forbidden! The council of elders would swoop down and carry me home in chains, if we ... did that." Helana explains.

"Ok. Just checking. That would be an abomination. We don't need any swooping elders flying around." Roxana says, sounding relieved.

"You guys are nuts." Eileen giggles.

"We just had a long talk last night, and we sort of bonded, as friends. That's all. Just friends." Ella explains.

The two girls in black lipstick, Jenna and Janice, the sisters of Darkness, meet Ella and her crew as they enter the campus. They confront Ella as she tries to walk past them.

"We warned you witches yesterday. Don't be coming around here anymore. You better find you one of those private schools and go there. We're the only witches allowed here."

"Witches?" Ella responds. "I don't know what your fascination with witches is, but you better keep that in check. We're not witches, but we can be bitches if we need to."

"What's your skinny little ass gonna to do bout ..." The goth girls stop in mid sentence, back away, and then run.

"What the hell just happened?" Eileen want to know.

"Projecting fear into the hearts of humans is very simple to do. I prefer to project love, but sometimes fear is the necessary medicine. I don't think they'll bother you again." Helana explains.

"Lets hope this doesn't make matters worse." Ella warns.

"Do you think they could really see what we were doing?" Eileen asks.

"If they're practicing the dark arts, maybe they have trained themselves to see beyond what's normal, or they're in contact with an entity that can. Be careful of the dark arts. Kids get in big trouble that way, connecting with entities they're not ready to deal with. But I didn't see any entities with them and I didn't sense any extra sensory perceptions from them, so I'm thinking they were just assuming we were performing a dark ritual and jumped to conclusions. I think they're harmless. They want to be witches, but they're not."

"But since you scared them, they're now even more sure that we're witches. They will be jealous." Roxana warns. "We still need to be careful around them, or we might get jumped."

Shadows

"Yo! Roxy! Come here." a boy yells from across the school yard.

"Who the hell is that?" Ella asks.

"That's Billy Mitchell. He's weird." Eileen says. "Why is he calling you Roxy?"

"Because he's stupid. I'll go see what he wants."

Roxana walks over to see what Billy wants, her crew in tow. "Why you calling me Roxy? That's not my name!"

"Oh! My bad ... Rox-Anna."

"Stop acting like a bad ass from some 50's movie. What do you want Billy?" Roxana asks, obviously irritated.

"Shadows. Shadow People. You know bout them? I heard you know bout that shit."

"Just because I go to mass 3 times a week doesn't mean I'm an exorcist. Why are you asking me? I'm not a priest.

"You got skills Babe. You know that."

"My name isn't Babe either. I think this conversation is over. See ya!"

"Wait Wait, Please. I don't mean no disrespect, I'm sorry. But shit, I'm scared. I need help."

"I've never heard of Shadow People and I don't know how I can help you. Why do you think I can help you?

"Because I saw you, in the cafeteria, you made some Shadows fly, they booked outta there like they thought they were gonna die. I saw your skills. I need you to do that for me too. Please. After school. The three of you. At my house. Please."

"I can't promise you anything, because I really don't know what you're talking about, but I'll ask my friends, and let you know, but it will probably be a no."

"Ok, let me know."

What Now?

"Did you hear that?" Roxana asks. "All the sudden now I'm the neighborhood exorcist. I was afraid of this. What do we do?"

"Helana, what's a Shadow Person?" Ella asks.

"A Shadow Person is any entity that's typically only seen in the corners of your eyes and then disappears if you look straight at it. In rare cases, you can see it full on, and it may even come at you like it's going to attack. Almost any non-physical entity could be a shadow person, even me. Some of them are just visitors watching what's going on. Some are evil and you could call them demonic. Most all of them, however, are nothing at all, just a figment of someone's imagination. There is one though, the ancient one, who is very dangerous. Some say the one with a hat and red eyes is the Devil himself."

"So how does one get rid of them?" Roxana asks.

"I'm not really sure." Helana says "But probably a cleansing will work."

"A cleaning?" Ella asks.

"No. A cleansing. It's a ritual, like burning sage and chanting."

"What does burning sage do?" Eileen wants to know.

"The sage doesn't really do anything. It's the ritual that does the work. In the case of visiting entities, it notifies them that they're not welcome and that they must leave. In the majority of the cases, which are imaginary Shadow People, it just convinces the person imagining them that they're not really there and then they stop imagining them. It's a placebo. If it's a powerful evil demon, then you should probably call your priest and do an official exorcism. You guys are not prepared to take on a demon, and neither am I."

"So what do we do, girls? It's time to vote."

"Are you serious?" Roxana asks. "Like our Moms are going to let us go to a boys house and perform a religious ritual."

"It's not that big a problem." Eileen says. "The tea shop sells sage and it's on the way home, and so is Billy's house."

"You know where he lives?" Ella asks.

"I saw him go there one day. I'm not like stalking him. That would be dumb." Eileen explains.

"Ok, we have a yes and a no. I'm sort of feeling sorry for him, and it's our fault that he believes we can help him. What would it hurt to dance around his house with some sage and chant 'Shadow People go away.'? You in Roxana?" Ella asks.

"What would it hurt?" Roxana asks "It's just going to escalate and we'll get more and more of these requests."

"What if we tell Billy that it must be totally secret, or it won't work?" Eileen asks.

"That might work. He seems desperate enough to agree to that. And I think he would be ashamed to tell anyone about it anyway." Roxana says

"Ok, then it's a go." Ella says "Helana, your job will be to tell us if there's anything really evil there and if there is we will have to refer him to a priest."

"Ok. I will be there with you and if there's any danger at all I will let you know. The most dangerous thing there, is probably that boy." Helana says with a laugh.

No Shadows

Billy Mitchell opens the door as the girls hurriedly rush in before they get seen, by anyone, hopefully not Mom. "Thank you thank you. This will be our little secret. OK?"

The girls go from room to room waving burning sage, making sure to get every corner and closet and storage area. They say a hurried goodbye to Billy and scurry out of the house. Grabbing their bikes which they hid behind the house they hurry on to Ella's house.

"So did it work, Helana?" Ella wants to know. "Did the Shadows leave?"

"I'm not sure, but I hope we helped. I did sense that something might have been there, but nothing was there when we were. The cleansing should help, we left our intention there, sort of like spraying for bugs. So if shadow people return they should get the message. My guess is, though, that they were imaginary. Billy will have to let us know if he still sees them."

"I wonder if the ones he said he saw in the cafeteria were imaginary?" Roxana asks.

"Ok then." Ella says. "Time to eat, finish my homework and get some sleep before tomorrow."

Roxana gently touches Ellas arm and asks "Can I have Helana tonight? I want to get to know her better."

"Uhh, Yeah. I guess so if it's Ok with Helana. Oh! Wait! Oh My God! You don't trust us, do you? Don't be stupid!"

"No No, that isn't it. I really have some things to talk to her about." Roxana pleads.

"Is that Ok with you Helana?" Ella asks.

"Absolutely! I would love to spend some quality time with Roxana. Getting to know her better will be awesome."

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella

Crap! I'm all alone again. Just you and me, Diary, and you never talk. But I guess I have to share. Helana is her friend too.

Roxana is so stupid. She thinks Helana and I are blending our energies, like sexually. She doesn't trust us. I hope I can trust her.

We did a cleansing today. I hope we don't have to do more of that kind of stuff. It's kind of scary.

Helana was awesome today. She scared the crap out of those goth girls, like literally, I think they might have crapped their pants. That's kind of scary though. If Helana can penetrate that deep into someones mind, what else can she do?

I'm so so so tired tonight. I think I'll finish my homework in class. Good night, dear Diary.

Chapter 6
Roxana

calibanner
This is the 6st in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

The Wrath Of Roxana

"You have a lovely room, Roxana. You must be very comfortable here." Helana compliments Roxana.

"I like it. I got my own room when I was 11, and since I turned 13 I get to keep the door closed so Mom and Dad aren't peeking in all the time."

"It's good to have your personal space. That's difficult on my world since we're telepathic, my parents can think their way into my space any time they want. I can block some of that but then they're even more suspicious. I'm a little jealous of how things work here on your planet."

"Well, if you aren't up to some mischief, it shouldn't be a problem." Roxana laughs.

Helana sighs "What's childhood without a little mischief?" They both laugh.

"Helana, I want you to know that I really really like you and I appreciate how you have bonded with Ella, and I can see that you love each other. Having a girlfriend from another planet is really cool."

"Yes, Ella's a beautiful girl, and a beautiful spirit. I love her more than words can describe." Helana says with a sigh.

Roxana thinks for a moment, trying to choose the appropriate words. "Yes, I agree. I love her more than words can describe too. But there's a difference between you and me. I'm only 13 but I already know a lot about how life works. You more than just love her. You are 'in love with her.' Do you know what that means?"

"Yes, I know what that means. It means that I would have feelings for her that would create the desire to bond with her, to blend with her. In other words to become one with her, sort of like a marraige. I don't really feel that way though, at least I don't think so."

"To be honest I'm not sure what my feelings are, this world of yours has some of the most intense emotions in the universe, feelings that can overwhelm a visitor like me who's not accustomed to them. Even your pets and your farm animals have intense emotions here."

"But I promise you this, with all my heart, I would never, will never ever do anything to harm the ones that I love, and I love you three girls with an intensity that's beyond description."

Roxana can't see Helana's tears but she can feel that she's crying. "That's good Helana, I will hold you to that. But be sure of this, if you harm Ella in any way, I will do whatever is in my power to bring the wrath of God against you."

Helana laughs "I'm less worried about the wrath of God than the wrath of Roxana! I promise again that if your girls are harmed in any way, It won't be by me, and whatever person or entity is doing the harming will suffer the wrath of Helana!"

Telepathy As A Weapon

"Ok. I'm glad we're on the same page with that. Now, I have at least a million questions. Are you ready?" Roxana asks, with a sense relief having handled those most difficult questions.

"Fire away!" Helana says.

"First, how is it, you being a visitor from a very different place, that you speak perfect English? Did you study our language in your school?"

"No. Actually, I can't speak English at all and that's another reason it would be difficult for me to manifest here totally in my physical form. I couldn't speak your language. With telepathy, though, I'm not sending words, I'm sending thoughts, and these thoughts take form in your mind and the verbal processors in your brain automatically create the words that represent that thought, without you having to even think about it. So you are the one who speaks perfect English. What you hear are your own words in your own language. If I was in Japan, they would hear Japanese, in Korea Korean, in Germany German. After awhile, you will stop hearing my words, as they're unnecessary. You will receive my thoughts and just know."

"So you penetrate very deeply into my mind when you speak telepathically. I'm not very comfortable with that."

"With you girls I only speak to the part of your mind that's open to me. You can block me completely simply by not wanting to talk to me."

"What about those goth girls, the ones you scared away."

"They were attacking someone I love, so I was much more aggressive with them. Just like Ella said, I too can be a bitch when I need to be. I would never be that aggressive with you girls."

"So if you need to, you can use telepathy as a weapon. That's dangerous isn't it?"

"It is no more dangerous than any other weapon. Whatever the weapon, the question is do you have the discipline to use it carefully, to use it with wisdom. Spoken and written words are powerful weapons on your planet too and have not only destroyed individuals but entire nations. Telepathic or not it is imperative to use words wisely, or suffer the consequences."

"That's what my dad always says. 'If you let a bad word out of your mouth you can never stuff it back in."

A Life Of Service

Roxana stares at the floor, silently, for a moment. "I wish our planet had some discipline, with words or any other weapon. Words, guns, bombs, just about everything you could imagine has been used, is being used as a weapon against each other."

"Don't use us as an example of what this planet is like. Our crew are all children of privilege, our parents have good jobs and plenty of money, we live in nice houses, drive around in expensive cars, have lots of good food and are never hungry, and get to wear braces and have perfect teeth. But that isn't the way this world is."

"Countless people, especially children, starve to death every day. People are blown up with bombs, some are driven into the wilderness to escape violence. Even in our country which is one of the safest, kids get beat-up , shot and killed, just going to school and back. I pray about it every day. I cry about it every night."

"Is that why you seek a life of service, through your religion?"

"I guess. I don't know. It's just what I've always seen myself doing. Some of my heroes are Mother Teresa, Florence Nightingale, and a few others who have lived a life of service. It's more than just what I want to do, it's who I am." Roxana says, staring at the portraits and paintings of her heroes on her bedroom wall.

Helana is very impressed with Roxana and says "I love you, a lot, as I've told you so many times, but in addition I have the greatest respect for you. Your life of service to others is admirable. But as someone who has peeked into your future take this little tidbit of advice.

In order to nurture others you must first nurture yourself. You will have little to share of yourself if you starve yourself. To deny yourself a rich life experience which might include dating, boyfriends, a husband and children, you could actually starve yourself, physically and emotionally, to the point that you have little to share with others. In order to fill another's empty places you first must be fulfilled."

"So in the future you saw I was starved to the point of being ineffective?"

"No. I saw several potential futures for you. I mentioned the one of celibacy because that was so strongly on your mind at the time. But I saw another more probable time line where you had privilege, money, boyfriends, a husband, and children. But you were crushed by guilt, guilt for having a joyful life, and that reduced your effectiveness. But now, since I crashed into your existence, you get a redo. Relish the joy you find in life, whatever path you take, and you will have much more of yourself to share with those in need."

Panic Attack

"What? That was my future? That's my most probable future? That's NOT what you said before." Long pause. I'm ... I don't know ... I'm ... upset. I guess. I don't think that could be. Are you kidding? Date? Really??? I don't even have anything to wear on a date. Children??? I'm going to be sick right now!"

"I'm so sorry, Roxana I didn't ..."

"Just be quiet Helana. Go into your stupid little lamp bottle and be quiet, and don't read my mind while you're in there. I have to process this. I'll let you know when you can come out."

Midnight Meltdown

"Roxana? What the hell? My mom brought me my phone, at midnight! Something about you having an emotional meltdown. Are you OK sweetie? What's going on?" Ella wants to know.

"It's your stupid friend, Helana!"

"Did she hurt you!?!"

"No, not hurt me, but she's talking a bunch of shit about my future and I don't know if she's telling me the truth, or if she's full of it, or what? I just feel sick. I had everything all figured out. I had it all planned. Now it's all messed up. Now I'm all messed up."

"Oh My God. What could she have possibly said that has you so upset? Is somebody going to die? The world coming to an end? What? What triggered this panic attack?"

"Basically she says I'm never going to be a Nun. I'm going to date, and get married, and have children. I've never given any of that a moments thought. It's never ever even entered my mind. I don't even know where to start?"

"Oh my! Roxana my precious sweetie. That isn't bad news. I've always wanted to have kids with you. No, wait. That didn't come out right. I've so wanted our kids to grow up together like we've grown up together. But dating is a scary thought, especially if you haven't thought about it before. But we can't date for almost 3 years. That's plenty of time to figure it all out. And what does Helana know anyway? She blew up those time lines by coming here. You can still be a Nun, if that's your path, if you want. But I'm excited about meeting your kids. I think you're just scared of a future you can't control. None of us can control the future no matter how hard we try."

"So now I have to go out and find a boyfriend?"

"No! Absolutely not! You need to follow your path, be the best you that you can be. Then let the right guy find you. That's what my Mom says. Hell, since you haven't given it any thought you don't even know if you're straight. Maybe you will marry a girl."

"Oh, I've given it enough thought to know I'm straight. But I've always pushed those thoughts aside. Now I have to live with those thoughts. Those thoughts will take root and grow. What if I end up all boy crazy like Eileen?"

Ella laughs "Ha ha. I don't think that's going to be a problem. That's not your style. But when that guy that takes your breath away comes along just go with it and let your future happen. Just don't do that too soon. We need to date when the time is right. And I have to approve of him before you can go out with him. Sweet dreams Roxana. There's no need to panic. Tell Helana good night for me.

Hello Diary
It's me again, Ella

It's 2 o'clock in the freaking morning and I've been on the phone with Roxana. She was having a major panic attack, all freaked out, because Helana said she might date a boy, and one day get married.

I guess it makes sense though. Dating, marriage and all that stuff is scary. What if I like a boy and he doesn't like me back? What if I start dating and he cheats on me? What if I end up divorced? What if he beats me up - that happens a lot these days?

I've thought about that stuff for years. Roxana, planning to be a Nun, never thought about it at all, until suddenly, all at once, it gets dumped on her. I guess I might have freaked out too.

No way I'm making it to first period tomorrow. Good night, again, dear Diary.

Ella`s Story
My Love From The Future
Book One

Chapter 7
Crystal

calibanner
This is the 7th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

Eileen sits in the school yard, her back up against a tree, writing in her journal. Most of the students are already inside, in their classroom already, or still wandering the halls. A van pulls up and 4 girls get out. Three girls enter the school building. One girl joins Eileen in the yard."

"Hey Eileen." Crystal says, approaching Eileen.

"Hey Crystal. What's up?" Eileen responds.

"Why you out here all by yourself? Where are your friends, those girls you hang with?"

"You mean Roxana and Ella? They were up late last night, some kind of drama went down. They said they would talk about it later. So they're skipping first period, maybe more if they sleep till noon like they do sometimes."

"Looks like you're skipping too?" Crystal comments, since Eileen is in the yard and not in class.

"Yeah. If they get to skip, why can't I? And you? Are you skipping too. What's your story?" Eileen wants to know.

"It's complicated. There are some people in that class I don't want to see right now."

Eileen is curious "Really? Is it a boy?"

Crystal laughs "You must be the only girl on campus that doesn't know already."

"Ha! Nobody tells me anything. My dads a prosecutor and my mom's a cop so I never hear the good stuff. But you can tell me, I don't talk about anything, really, with my parents anyway."

"I can trust you?" Crystal wants to know.

"Yeah, I'm going to be a lawyer someday so I know about confidentiality."

"Well ..." Crystal starts to speak, but pauses, studying Eileen's face to make sure she's someone to trust. "Well, I live in the group home. There are six girls living there. I was 12 when I moved in there. Both my parents are locked up and my grandma is too sick to take me in. Nobody else in my family wanted me, they got their own kids to deal with."

"Oh, so that's why you guys come here in that van? You all live together?" Eileen asks.

"Yeah. The van takes us everywhere. So a few months ago two of the older girls were planning to sneak out and hook up with some boys at a party. They said it was a party, but it was just some dudes apartment. They had a bunch of beer and some vodka and some pills and other stuff. I didn't want to go, I was just 12 back then and didn't want to get in trouble, but they talked me into it."

"So you snuck out? Where was your house mom? How did you get out?"

"Margaret, our house mom was watching one of her TV shows that she's so into and not paying no attention to us, so we went out the back and over the fence. An older boy met us in the ally with his car."

"His car? How old were these boys?"

"The driver was 19. His brother is 22 so he can get the beer and stuff."

Eileen gives Crystal a serious look. "Did these boys rape you? You can tell me."

"Oh no, it wasn't like that, not that at all. When we got to the apartment a friend of mine was there, Shawn. Well his name's Leshawn, but we just call him Shawn. He's 14. So him and I were the youngest there. Everybody started drinking the beer, and some of them were dropping shots of vodka in the beer. Those pills, I forget what they are, but one of the guys called then zannies, some of them were taking those pills too. Everybody got wasted and were acting all stupid. Some of the girls were walking around in their underwear getting all stupid with the boys. Shawn and I went to a back room just to get away from all that, but we had a few beers too."

Eileen stares at Crystal and asks "Did you and Shawn do it?"

"We just hung out for a bit, and he kissed me, a little, and then we messed around a bit. I wasn't planning to do any of that but before I knew it, we were having sex. It just sort of happened. And it wasn't even that much fun. It felt all weird, not like I expected. I've been avoiding Shawn ever since."

"If sex was not your intention, and you were drinking and in no condition to consent, then that's still rape. That's what my dad says. Is Shawn pressuring you for more sex?"

"Shawn's a great guy, I've known him for years, but you know how it is. His friends think I'm his woman now so he has to put on a show that he like owns me now or something. I like Shawn, but that night just ruined it for me. I just want to be alone. I'm not his woman. Nobody owns me!"

"So this all happened when you were 12? You know those boys could go to jail. Have you talked to anyone else about this?"

"Like the police you mean? It wouldn't do no good to go to the police. There's no evidence. The girls won't talk because then they would get in trouble too. They would just say it didn't happen. And then I would be a 'cop caller', which on my block is about the worst thing you can be. It can get you killed. I know where you live and you don't know nothin bout my block. The rules are different there, and if you don't play by those rules, you get beat, or worse."

"Really?" Eileen doesn't know if Crystals story is true or is a bit exaggerated. "This is a small town and you're making it sound like you live in a big city ghetto. Is it really that bad?"

"Yeah, it's small, my block's small, but it ain't no different than the big city. People here just the same as people there, just not as many. My mom and dad were in the game, dealing a little, moving stolen property and trading for stuff, drugs and guns and other stuff. They got setup and took the fall for an 'OG', one of the crime bosses. That's why they're locked up and I'm in the group home. Ain't no different here. Just like Chicago or LA, just smaller."

"Does your house mom know you girls are sneaking out at night?"

"Yeah, she knows. But what's she gonna do bout it? If she does anything then she gets in trouble. You know how much money she gets for keeping us girls there? A lot! So she ain't gonna say nothin bout nothin. Shit goes down there every day, and she ain't gonna do nothin."

"Anytime you need to, you can talk to my parents. Maybe they can do something."

"A prosecutor and a cop? Really? Are you that dumb? No thanks! The other girls will just blame me for all the shit going down and then I'll be living down at Juvie. I appreciate your concern, but no thanks."

"Are you pregnant?" Eileen wants to know.

"No. I got lucky. I'm not pregnant."

"Are you still having sex with that boy, or anyone else?"

"No. It was just that one time. Why you axing all these questions? Are you a cop too?"

"No, I'm no cop. I like you and I'm just concerned. Crystal, I'm not going to repeat anything you told me, not even to my friends. But I want you to know that you can talk to me about stuff like this. If there's anyway I can help let me know."

"I appreciate that, Eileen. You're a good girl and I like you. But don't try to help. You'll get hurt. Nobody can help. I gotta get through this on my own. I've always been on my own, and it ain't no different now."

"I may have ways to help that I can't talk about. Give me your phone, I'll put in my number. Call me!"

"Thank you Eileen. But stay off my block. You have no idea the shit you'll get into there."

A bell rings and the girls head in for second period. Eileen has a lot to think about.

On A Mission

Roxana and Ella finally showed up for fifth period. The final bell has rung and the girls are getting their bikes to head home, but Eileen's on a mission, a dangerous one.

Eileen stops her bike "Hey. I've got a favor to ask."

"What's that?" Ella wants to know.

"Lets cruise down Jackson street on our way home. And bring Helana. I want her to use her powers to get a feel for the place."

Ella stares at Eileen like she's had a lobotomy or something. "Jackson street is not on the way home! It's over the bridge past the creek. Firstly it's way out of the way. Secondly we're not supposed to ride over that way. And thirdly we'll be late getting home and our parents will be all up in our business. Are you crazy?"

"And the bridge doesn't even have a bike lane. We could get run over." Roxana warns.

"Ok. Yes. I'm crazy. But I'm on a mission, a secret mission I can't talk about. I need to know whats going on over there. That neighborhood has been there my whole life and I know nothing about it. It's just 'over there' where we never go. Please, just this once. If we ride fast it won't take long."

"Is this about a boy?" Ella wants to know. "Are you stalking some boy again?"

"No, actually it's about a girl."

"What?" Ella and Roxana are shocked. "Are you walking the other side of the street now?" Ella asks.

"Huh? I don't know what that means, but if you're asking me if I'm gay, no! All I can say is that a 12 year old girl was raped over there and apparently that kind of thing happens a lot on that block. I just want Helana to help me get a feel for the neighborhood. I'm going to be a lawyer some day and this is the kind of stuff I want to know about."

"Helana, is Eileen for real? Or is her secret mission about a boy?" Ella asks with a serious look.

"Don't put me in the middle of this! I'm not going to read her mind without permission. I don't get the feeling that her intentions are evil, though, so maybe you can help her with her mission. It's a bad neighborhood, I can feel that from here, but I can protect you from thugs and rapists. I can't stop a speeding bullet, though, so there's some risk.

"We should do it!" Roxana says "Eileen's mission could be a calling, a calling from God. We have to do it!"

"Crap, I'm gonna regret this."Ella says "Ok, but we peddle fast, over the bridge, to the traffic light, turn around, and back here. We don't stop, ever, for anything. OK? And lets put our phones back in our lockers, or else we get tracked."

Over The Bridge

The girls have never peddled their bikes so fast in their life. They leave a trail of dust as they cross the bridge. Out of breath, safe on their side of the bridge again, they stop, and talk. They got a few "Hey baby, whats up?" comments from the young men there, but nothing dangerous.

Eileen catches her breath and says "Thank you. That was painless. Helana, what did you see?"

"The emotions there are overwhelming. Hundreds, maybe thousands of those bugs are hanging around there. Too much really to talk about so I'll concentrate on just one thing. Angst. Lots of Angst, and not just the teenage variety." Helana explains.

"First lets discuss a problem that's very common on your planet, and others too. Each of us has what we call an internal identity template, a picture of who and what we believe we're supposed to be. Our perception of our identity is indicated by how we complete a sentence that starts with 'I am'."

"If your external identity closely matches what your internal identity template is, then you tend to be very happy in life. Your purpose for being here, being alive, is fulfilled."

"If your external identity is very different, falls very short of your internal identity template, then you are not happy at all. A great anxiety develops and you feel compelled to do whatever is necessary to become that person you feel that you need to be. Failure to do so results in a great depression, and thoughts of suicide."

"Across that bridge I felt one older woman who was very happy, very satisfied with who and what she is. She's a grandmother, making some banana bread for her grandson, his favorite kind of bread. Her internal and external identity is an almost perfect match. She does not want to be anything other than what she now is."

"On the other hand there are many, especially the young, whose internal and external identities are very different. They're angry, anxious and depressed all at once, all the time. In trying to become what they believe they should be they try, and fail, and try again, many times resorting to violence to reach out and take the life they seek as their own."

"During early childhood the internal identity template is supposed to be programmed by their parents, their teachers, and by observing their environment so that they can become a good fit into the community in which they live."

"Unfortunately, in your world, in the current state of social development you now experience, children are programmed to have a certain identity that can be a good fit in the culture, but are then denied the resources to make that happen. No matter how hard they try, they fail, and fail again."

"In other cases the child picks up an identity template based on what they see in videos, read in books, or hear as stories told by their elders. These stories are a fiction. They spend their lives trying to live a lie, a story about possibilities that do not really exist. They try to become the fiction, and fail."

"I could feel the angst of one young man. His internal self image is being famous, having a big house, a hot car, lots of money, beautiful young women standing in line hoping to be his next girlfriend. These images come from music videos and stories of musical superstars. The image is fake, and although some superstars live that lifestyle briefly, millions of others try and fail to achieve it. That young man will never become what he so wants to be, and he will probably die young searching for a life that can never be his."

"The angst is painful, a persistent sorrow that turns to self hatred, a grief that's never resolved. Many, most actually, seek intoxication to relieve the pain. The desire is to be intoxicated all day, every day, by whatever means necessary."

"If I were to assign a numerical score to the level of angst in the neighborhood surrounding Jackson street, on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a score of 7. But here's what you will probably find hard to believe. In your neighborhood of big houses, nice cars, and pretty green lawns, I would give it a score of 5. The level of angst in your part of town is almost as bad as Jackson street. The difference is your neighborhood has the financial resources to hide it better, to find non violent methods of relieving the pain. So before you judge Jackson street and think you need to fix it somehow, look closer to home."

"Are you sure you're our age? You sound like my guidance counselor at school." Ella comments.

"Ha, I think I'm channeling my social studies teacher at my school. This is the kind of stuff we study in school."

"So what do we do to fix it?" Eileen wants to know.

"Four little girls can't fix a planet with billions of unhealthy people." Helana replies. "And it's significantly more complicated than what I have said."

"So that's it?" Roxana wants to know. "Our world is a piece of shit and we just have to accept that's the way it is and move on? Eileen chose this as her mission, and it's my mission too, to make this world a better place."

"And you will." Helana explains. "The reason I came to visit in the first place is because, in the future I saw, you did indeed make a significant difference. But that difference is not a fix to this problem. That will take dozens, maybe hundreds of generations to accomplish. But you played your part in making it better, moving the ball a little closer to the goal. If you try to fix it all, like right now, you will set yourself up to fail and experience that same painful angst that others are experiencing when they fail to reach their life goals. Take your time. Grow up first and take things one step at a time, and you will all do remarkable things. I believe that future is still available to you."

"So are you making significant differences in your future. Have you seen your future too?" Ella wants to know.

"I plan to." Helana responds. "But I can't look into my future. It's forbidden."

"It's against the law? Why?" Eileen asks.

"Well, when people on my world do that it turns out badly for them. Almost always they see something in their future they don't like, and then jump back in time to try to fix it. That results in many unintended consequences that usually makes it worse. So they go back and forth again and again trying to make it all better. Temporal inertia tends to put the time line back to its original path, so it's a wast of time, but it results in brain damage. The person gets what we call temporal loop hallucinations. So many overlapping time lines with different outcomes superimpose themselves on their perception and they can't tell what they're looking at. They don't know what's real. They go crazy, and no one has found a cure. So that's why it's forbidden to do that."

"But some have done it anyway?" Eileen asks. "Why do they do that?"

"It would be like riding your bike in front of a fast moving car. You can, if you choose to, but you don't because it would be stupid. But there are some, on my world and yours, that do stupid things."

"Girls we better go!" commands Ella "Or Eileen's mom is going to be over here in a police car with the lights on and take us all home in handcuffs." The girls laugh and head their bikes home.

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella.

What a crazy day. Eileen was on some mission to figure out what's up with Jackson street. We shouldn't have gone there, but we did. Eileen and Roxana wanted to do it, so we did. I have a bad feeling about it.

My legs are sore from peddling so far, and so fast. My legs were shaking so bad coming back that I could hardly keep them on the bike peddles.

All we found out was that what we thought was a bad part of town, is indeed, a bad part of town. Like duh. But Helana says our part of town is just about as bad. Double duh. Our world is all screwed up, but that's not news.

I'm glad though, that Eileen has found a mission that isn't just about some boy she likes.
I hope she can help that little girl that got raped. What I worry about, though, is that Eileen, and sometimes Roxana, will go to far, take to many chances. So I go along, for protection. I'm very afraid that they might try something all by themselves, and get hurt, or worse.

I so hope that tomorrow's a quiet day with no drama. I don't know how much more I can take.

Good night, my Diary

Chapter 8
TinkerBell

calibanner
This is the 8th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

It was a quiet drama free day, just what the girls needed. After school the girls gathered at Eileen's house. They'll probably all sleep there too. When supper is done the girls await Eileen's dad, who usually comes home late. The have some things to ask him.

"Honey, the girls need you." Eileen's mom shouts down the hall as her husband comes home from work.

"Really? They actually know us old people still exist?" Eileen's dad responds with a grin.

"Dad! Come to the dining room. We're having a meeting" Eileen yells.

Dad carefully, with a little trepidation, enters the dining room. "How much is this going to cost?" he asks the girls.

"Dad! Nothing! This isn't about money. We need your advise." Eileen responds as all three girls stare at Dad.

"My advise? Honey grab the video camera, this needs to be documented." Dad shouts to Mom in the other room.

"Stop being stupid! Dad, you're a lawyer, and a prosecutor, so you know all about legal stuff, and political stuff. And you're all into flying saucers, Et's, inter-dimensionals and all that disclosure stuff. Right?"

"I guess. Why? Did you see a flying saucer? Do you want me to represent an ET in court? Were you abducted? I can't believe these words are even coming out of your mouth." Dad gives Eileen a serious look.

How To Save The World?

"No!" Eileen laughs "We abducted one of them! No, that's a joke." The girls giggle nervously. "To put it simply, it has come to our attention, that our town is messed up. Just like the big cities our town is full of sad and depressed people, people whose lives are all crappy, people who get drunk and do drugs, people who steal, and people who rape. It has also come to our attention that our whole world is going through a transformation and that we're part of that transformation. We're going to change the world. We're going to help save our town, and help save the world. We need your advise on how to do that. We need your help to do that."

"Ummm." Dad thinks for a moment. "I was expecting you needed help with math homework, or a science project. Saving the world is kind of a big project. Where is all of this coming from?"

Ella speaks up "Eileen has a friend that she can't talk about. Confidentiality, you know. She lives in a bad part of town where lots of bad stuff happens. Somehow this friend got hurt and Eileen wants to help. We all want to help. We want our crew to be more than just us girls sitting around talking about boys. We want to make a difference. We want to make things better."

"Wow." Dad walks around with a thoughtful look, like preparing an argument for a jury. "Ella, you sound just like your grandpa. Are you channeling your grandpa? He was all into that in the 1960's. The hippies were going to change the world too, back then, except I think they must have smoked too much weed and then forgot about it."

"Don't make fun, Dad! We're serious!" Eileen says giving her dad an angry look.

"Oh, I can see you're serious. And I take you seriously. It's just this is a surprise to me, that you are thinking along these lines, at your tender young age. And I know, from experience, what an impossible task changing the world is."

"History is littered with the bodies of those who tried, and failed, with just a very few who succeeded. Some succeeded through violence, like the revolutionary war in our country. Some succeeded through non-violence, such as Gandhi, such as Jesus. The world is only changed through great sacrifice."

You're All Grounded

"I honor your commitment to make the world a better place, but it scares me to death. In my mind I see your tiny beautiful precious young bodies lying dead in the street somewhere because you tried to do too much, too fast. I not only will help you, and your mom too, in fact we insist on it. Don't you dare even think of doing anything without checking with us first. You got That!? Your mom and I see the dark side of life every day. I know what can happen. I've pulled back many a sheet at the morgue and have seen the horror."

"We're going to have another meeting, with all your parents. Until then, you're all grounded, until we get some ground rules setup. OK?!"

"Grounded!! What the hell Dad? What did we do? We want to make the world a better place and you ground us for that? You can't ground us, not all of us!"

"Watch your mouth, young lady." Eileen's mother chimes in.

"I've already talked to all your parents, many times. We were not expecting the danger years to start so soon, but we've all agreed. Any one of us parents can ground all of you. Ask them. They'll tell you. Don't get me wrong, though. I'm not working against you. It's my job as a parent to keep you safe, to keep you alive. We were going to speak to you anyway. Something about a traffic cam video over on Jackson street that your mom saw. It's all starting to make sense now."

Ella turns pale with a shocked look, Eileen is red faced with anger, and Roxana is crying. They all process things differently.

"Girls, please. Don't over react. Your dad is just being a dad. Yes, you three will indeed, change the world, I believe that, I believe in you. But for now, while you are young, we have to be part of that." Mom gives the girls a hug. "We're not against you. We may have to slow you down a bit, though, so you have a chance to grow up and make those changes real. Go upstairs and finish your homework and get some sleep. We will talk all this out tomorrow."

As the girls head upstairs to Eileen's room, her mom grabs her dads hand and says "What the hell is up with these girls? This is the kind of stuff 20 somethings get into, not middle school girls. This is scaring me, and what does it have to do with your ET research? Do you think they have been influenced by some UFO cult or something like that?"

"If it was a cult I doubt they would be working alone, they would be in the service of the cult leaders. But something is going on, and it's scary. Did you see the look on their faces when Eileen joked about abducting one of 'them'?" Ella and Roxana both almost jumped up when she said that, like she was about to reveal some secret."

"They may be under the influence of an entity. I think they may actually believe they abducted and alien, but that alien could be a trickster."

Mom stares at Dad and says "A make believe entity, maybe. I'm not at all on board with your ET theories. Girls this age can't always tell the difference between imaginary and reality."

"Made up or real, it could still be dangerous. We need to keep a close eye on them. You know what happened with the Thin Man. Kids are easily influenced and it can become deadly." Dad responds, the fear in his face becoming more and more evident.

Mom corrects "It was the Slender Man, dear. The Thin Man was an old radio show from the 30's. But I know what you mean."

Shut Up Eileen!

Ella is furious. "Eileen! Really? 'We abducted one of them!' What the ****, Eileen?!? You don't say stuff like that in front of a cop!"

Eileen is crying now "I'm sorry I'm sorry. I was nervous and that just slipped out. I forget she's a cop, she's my mom too you know."

"We were just getting started on something good, with Helana, and now we will probably have to send her home." Ella says sadly, staring at the floor.

"Ok, wait!" Roxana steps in "Lets not be so hard on ourselves. We didn't do anything wrong. It's just our parents are all up in our business now, and they don't understand. They're freaked out over nothing. They don't know Helana. Helana! Get your smoky little butt out here and help us handle this!"

The girls wait, but Helana is a no-show.

"Helana? Helana?" Ella asks.

"Oh crap. She's gone. I bet she went home." Roxana says with a frown.

"Maybe not." Eileen says as she walks to the bedroom door. "She can sense stuff that we can't see." Eileen opens the door and stomps her foot hard on the floor.

"Dad! Mom! That's not cool. Spying on us? We're not 12 anymore. You promised!"

"When we promised that we were not expecting that you would be talking to aliens. Who, what, is Helana?"

"Helana is our friend. She's a girl. She's a kid just like us." Ella explains

"Really?" Dad says with a look of incredulity. "So why is she invisible?"

"She's just visiting here. She lives in a different dimension." Roxana explains.

"You've been cavorting with an inter-dimensional?!? Do you know how dangerous that is? Do you know what kind of danger, what kind of trouble you could be in?" Dad wants to know.

"She's in more trouble than we are." Eileen blurts out.

"Shut up Eileen! Quit making things worse!" Ella commands.

Dad gives a stern look at Ella "Ella, you better check yourself. We don't speak to each other like that."

"I'm so sorry. So sorry. I won't do it again. This is just all so upsetting!" Ella apologizes.

"Ok, girls, lets all calm down. We have a lot to talk about. You have a lot of explaining to do. Who is this Helana being, and why is she in trouble?"

Roxana explains, blurting words out so fast they're almost unintelligible. "Because she's a runaway. She came to visit us because in her domain we're in her history books and she wanted to meet us. So she came here. But she didn't get permission, she ran away. And then Ella trapped her in her genie bottle so she couldn't go home. So now she's in really big trouble because she told us about our future, and that's illegal, and her butt is going to get kicked when she goes home, and she's our friend, and we love her. So ... Yeah."

Dad stares at Roxana, looking confused "So she's an inter-dimensional, who traveled through time to get here? And she did it illegally? And you guys think it's OK to make her your friend? Are you guys crazy? What if she's not what she pretends to be? What if she's here to trick you. Even if she's an inter-dimensional school girl, what if the inter-dimensional police come looking for her? I don't have jurisdiction to protect her here, or there. Where you going to defend her, protect her? Who's going to protect you?"

"We did a prayer of protection." Ella explains.

Mom can't take any more of this conversation "Oh Dear God! This is nonsense! Do you hear yourself? Talking like any of this is real? You girls are so grounded. One of us or your mom or dad are taking you to school, picking you up after school, checking on you at lunch period, and you're going straight to your rooms when you get home. Your bikes are getting locked in the garage. Do you understand?"

"Mom!" all three girls say in unison.

"Ohhhhh Myyy God, will this ever end?!!" Eileen whines. "Helana, thanks a lot. This is all your fault. I hope you're happy now!"

"I'm so sorry guys." A soft apologetic voice appears telepathically. "I messed up. I messed up really bad. I'm sorry. I never intended any of this, and yes, I'm in more trouble than even I can imagine. I'm sorry. And I'm scared."

"Dad!" Eileen screams. "Catch mom. She went all pale and is about to fall over."

Eileen's dad stabilizes mom and instructs everyone to have a seat. It's time to have an inter-dimensional meeting.

"My parents don't need to know about this!" Ella says.

"Mine either! They'll have a dozen exorcists out here." Roxana pleads.

"I can't guarantee that." Dad explains. "Your secrecy hasn't worked out so well so far. But we'll keep it quiet, for now. Helana, I have some questions for you. Tell me about yourself. What planet are you from? What time are you from? How old are you? Why are you here, and how do you know my girls?"

"Ummm. Let's see. Where should I start? I guess I'll start at the beginning."

"In my domain of existence time and space are different, not so fixed in a linear format as in this domain. So how old I am can't be expressed in years, but developmentally I'm at about the same level as your girls, which is probably why we get along so well. I'm here as part of a school project, visiting the characters in our history lessons, except they weren't supposed to see me, and I wasn't supposed to stay here or interact in any way.

"We don't have physical planets, well not like you do here. Here the planets are created from cosmic dust orbiting developing stars and life emerges on those planets wherever it can. In my domain we're creatures of consciousness, what you would call spiritual entities, and we create with the power of thought whatever physical items that we need for our existence, including planets. Where these planets are and when they are is fluid. Things are not so fixed in time and space as they are here.

"Our physicality is a thought form, and if we change how we think about it, the physicality changes. When I studied your history, and met your girls in our history books, well not exactly books but you know what I mean, I was struck by how awesome they were, are, and I fell in love with them and just had to come see them. I think it's because I love them so much that they could see me, I couldn't help myself, and I was revealed. Since I'm just a visitor here, I'm bound by your will, and Ella captured me and would not let me leave, until later when she released me, but by then we both decided that I should stay, because we're friends, and we love each other."

"How do your parents feel about you being here, and why have they not come for you?" Dad asks.

"Time travel is necessarily a-temporal. I will return the same instant I left. So they will not know I left until I get back. But I will be different when I get back. I will be carrying a ton of experiential inertia, so much so that our history classes will have to be adjusted. Temporal inertia and experiential inertia will make the changes automatically, but it will cause a ripple in time and space and those like me will feel it, and I will be in big trouble. I will be punished and have to make restitution."

"So you're a fugitive?" Dad asks.

"Technically no, since in their time none of this has happened yet." Helana explains.

"I'm not interested in technicalities. You're hiding out here, aren't you, because you're scared to go home. Is that right?" Dad asks.

Yes Sir! Absolutely Sir!

"Yeah." Helana replies.

"The term here, little girl, is 'Yes Sir'"

"Yes Sir!" Helana responds.

Eileen leans over to Ella and whispers. "Oh my God, he called her 'little girl'. I think he just adopted her. I know my dad. We're good."

"Helana." Dad directs his attention to Helana, who out of the corner of his eye presents as a very tiny, very young female, covering herself as best she can, being naked. "I probably shouldn't believe anything you say, but because I trust my girls, and because I sense you are being truthful, and because you present to my consciousness as a child, I'm choosing to trust you."

"On this planet, in this country, there's a legal term 'in loco parentis', which means 'in place of a parent.' Since your parents are not able to be here, as you have described, I am claiming 'en loco parentis'. As I am Eileen's father, and the surrogate father to Ella and Roxana, I am now your parent as well, for the period of time, our time, that you are here."

"You will respect me in the same manner as you respect your parents from your world. Is that understood? All four of you will respect me as a parent. It's always been that way with Roxana and Ella. And, by the way Helana, you're grounded too until we get some things figured out. Is that OK with you?

"Eileen leans over to Ella again and whispers "I told you!"

"Yes Sir! Absolutely Sir! Thank you so much sir!" Helana responds.

"Dad, there is something wrong with mom. She's just sitting there staring at the wall." Eileen observes.

"Her filters are up." Helana explains. "Her brain is not recording memories of what is happening here. After she sleeps, when she wakes up, she won't remember any of this, in the same way a dream fades away as soon as you awake."

"Thats probably for the best." Dad says "Mom isn't ready for any of this, and she may never be. So lets not talk about any of this in front of her, but we will have lots to talk about."

As Dad leaves the room, before closing the door, he says "And I have one more request. Roxana and Ella and Eileen, you need to get to bed and get some rest, but before you fall asleep I want you to do this. Imagine in your mind, in as much detail you can, the little outfit that Tinkerbell wears. I want for you to imagine making a little outfit just like that, and putting it in a little gift box, and giving it to your little friend. Make them different colors. And Helana, the next time I see you, you better be wearing clothes."

"He saw you?!!!!" Ella screams.

"Apparently, he saw me? How did he do that? And I'm naked! I'm so embarrassed. I'm sorry, Eileen, I love your dad, he's cool, but I don't think I can ever face him again."

"It's no big deal." Eileen explains. "All three of us ran around here naked for years. You're one of us now." Eileen explains.

"But you were babies. That doesn't help. I'm mortified." Helana whimpers.

"Get over it, Helana." Ella says. "By the way, what's with the Tinkerbell outfit. Are you a Tinkerbell?"

"I am about that size, relative to you, but I don't have wings, so Oh My!. He really did see me. Oh shit. This is awful."

"Relax Helana. Her dad isn't creepy like you might think. He's just a dad. If we imagine these outfits, can you actually wear them?" Roxana asks.

"I guess your dad must know something about creatures of consciousness. Maybe I can. I've never tried this before. But if I get three gift boxes in the morning, I'll let you know."

"So then we can see you??" Ella squeals.

"Maybe. I guess we'll find out. Maybe if we all concentrate I'll have enough energy to manifest. I was so scared when your dad was speaking to me, maybe that fear made me visible. This has been a very weird day."

"Cool" Ella says "But screw the Tinkerbell outfit. Let's imagine some really nice outfits for our little friend. Good night all, imagine some good stuff."

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella.

Unbelievable! Un-effing-believable!! Now Eileen's dad is all up in our business, and he's being all dad like thinking Helana is his little girl now. This is bad. This is so effing bad. I knew Jackson street was a bad idea. I forgot about those damn traffic cameras.

It started out as such a good day, and then it all went to shit. Roxana and Eileen don't know how to keep their mouth shut. They just rattle on and on making everything worser and worser.

I'm so afraid that Eileen's dad is going to try to take Helana to his UFO meetings, and the disclosure conferences, and have her dancing around on the podium like his private little ET. I'm going to warn him. If he exploits Helana in any way, I'm sending her home, and that will be the end of it. That's for sure!

I'm sad tonight. I'm mad tonight. I'm sick to my stomach with anxiety tonight. Please, tomorrow, be a better day!

Well, I'm going to see if I can imagine up some cute outfits for Helana, and then I'm going to pass out.

Good night, my Diary.

Chapter 9
Double Trouble

calibanner
This is the 9th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

Wake Up! Wake Up!

"Oh My God!!!" squeals Roxana "Ella! Eileen! Wake Up! Wake Up!"

"What is it?" Eileen asks.

"What's the fuss?" Ella asks, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Look! Look! Ella Look! Right next to you! On your pillow!"

Ella jumps back as if there's a spider crawling on her pillow, then gets the biggest grin ever.

"Helana, it's you! I can see you! Oh My, you're beautiful, you're so gorgeous, You're the cutest little thing ever." Ella says, tears coming to her eyes, as she can see her new best friend for the first time. "And you're wearing the black shorts I imagined for you."

"She's wearing the shoes I made for her." Roxana says proudly.

"And she's got on the tee shirt I made." Eileen says "Oh My God, you've even got boobs! We need to get you some underwear too."

"Thank you guys so much. I really appreciate this. I'm not sure how this even worked, but obviously it did." Helana says with a huge smile.

As the girls gather around to view the young beauty before them Helana speaks. "There are several things you must know, though. Last night the emotional energy in here was intense, and your love is intense. I guess that's why I have enough energy to manifest this way. It probably won't last. Soon you will be able to see through me, and I will slowly fade away. But for now all I can say is OMG! I'm so glad that I can sit with you and we can all see each other, for reals."

Helana continues "There's one other thing though, and I hope you're not offended, but please don't call me little. Just because I manifest smaller than you doesn't mean I'm less than you. Our DNA is almost identical. I have the same number of cells as you do. I just manifest here smaller because it takes a lot less energy, and I don't have much energy to spare."

"Got It!" Ella says. "You're not our little friend. You're our awesome friend. The awesomest friend ever."

Time For School

Knock Knock Knock on the bedroom door. "It's time for school girls. Get ready and let's go. We don't want to be late. And remember, no makeup. The school has been complaining about you girls wasting time obsessing over makeup." Dads voice comes from the other side of the door.

"Ok Dad." Eileen responds. "Almost done."

"Meet me at the car then. You're bikes are staying here today." Dad says as he walks downstairs.

In the car on the way to school Helana needs to ask a question, privately. "Hey Eileen. I'm speaking just to you, nobody else can hear, but don't talk out loud. Think back at me and I will hear you."

"Ok." Eileen thinks back to Helana.

"You know your dad the best. What will it take to get us un-grounded?" Helana wants to know.

"Time, mostly. If we don't do anything else to make them freak out after a while they just forget. After a while they won't even remember about us being grounded and want us to ride off on our bikes so they can have quiet time in the house. It shouldn't be very long."

"Ok Good!" Helana responds. "My parents are the same way. There's sooooo much they have just forgot along the way." Helana giggles.

Does It Go Any Faster?

"This is the first time I've ridden in one of these automobile things. It's kinda fun. Does it go any faster?" Helana asks.

Dad replies "It goes a lot faster, but not here on city streets. It isn't safe going faster. Helana while we're on our way can I ask you a few more questions?

"NO!" Ella emphatically answers for Helana.

"What?" Dad responds.

Ella speaks loudly with a shaky voice. "I'm sorry, I know you're the parent and I'm the child, but Helana came to this dimension because of us. Us girls are the reason she's here, and we're responsible for her. So don't even talk to Helana without our permission!"

"Wow! Ella, you're getting kind of brave speaking to me like that."

"I know." Ella replies "But I'm afraid that you will exploit her. I know you're all into this UFO and ET disclosure stuff. I don't want her getting all mixed up in that. If that starts to happen, I'm sending her home. I love her and I'm making it my responsibility to keep her safe while she's here in our dimension."

"Ok! Wow! I'm proud of you for taking such a stand to protect your friend. I will respect that. Can I please ask Helana a few questions?"

"Ok. But just a few. Helana please answer Dad's questions, but don't say anything that will get you in trouble." Ella says, still trembling from her emotional outburst.

"Helana. Would you happen to know, approximately, how many ET's and inter-dimensional's are visiting Earth, and would you know why they're here?" Dad asks.

"Oh man, here it goes!" Ella says

Helana explains "I wish I could give you an answer for that, but I can't. It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I don't know the answer.

Imagine that you are in a transportation facility far far away. There are thousands of people, some tall, some short, some in suits, some in robes, some in uniforms, some wearing almost nothing, some light, some dark, none of them speaking a language you understand. They run about coming from here and going there. Outside cars, trains, buses, aircraft and even spacecraft are whizzing around coming from somewhere and going somewhere else."

"The only thing on your mind, though, is your destination and how to get there. You know nothing of the other travelers, and you don't care. Your only task is getting to your destination."

"That's how it is with me. Earth's a busy place with visitors coming and going constantly, thousands of them. But I have no idea who they are or why they're here. I came here to meet your girls, and that's all I know, and all that I care about.

"Good answer. Or clever answer. I can't tell which." Dad says with a laugh "So how did you get here, Helana? Did you go through one of those transportation facilities?"

"No. My kind doesn't need facilities, or craft to move around. It's similar to what you would call an out of body experience, where your spirit can go flying around while you body stays put. The difference is that we can actually take our body with us. Our bodies only require a tiny fraction of the energy your dense bodies require so we can move at ease in time and space, just by thinking about where we want to go."

"When I was studying your history, contemplating how awesome it would be to actually meet your wonderful daughters, after awhile I began to actually see them. I took a step in their direction and suddenly I was floating in Ella's bedroom. I'm here now in this time and space, but I'm also frozen in time in my native time and space from where I took that first step. We call that time line exclusivity. We can only experience the passage of time on one time line at a time. Otherwise it would be too confusing and we might go crazy. When I go home, my native time line will resume from where it left off. I hope that helps answer your question."

"Yes, yes it does, it answers my questions but begs a few hundred new questions." Dad replies.

"We're here Dad!" Eileen shouts "Enough of the bla bla bla. We need to get to class or we'll get marked late."

Special Programs

The school day has been uneventful, so far. Ella's mother was seen hovering outside the lunch room trying to look inconspicuous, but the girls could tell she was there to spy on them.

Helana was so bored that she took a nap in Ella's purse. It's last period, when there's a tap on the classroom door. A hall monitor asks for Ella to come to the principals office. No reason is given.

On the way to the office Ella can see Roxana and Eileen headed in the same direction. As they lock eyes a wave of terror overcomes them. Sheepishly they enter the office and are instructed to sit down.

The Principal addresses the girls with a cheery voice and a big smile "Hello girls. Thank you for coming. This is an exciting day for the three of you. I don't remember this ever happening at our school before. This is Lieutenant Commander Beaker, he's a senior student advisor at the US Naval Academy in Maryland. He has wonderful news for you."

"Hello girls. I'm so glad to meet you." Commander Beaker addresses the girls, also with a big smile "As part of our student recruitment program we routinely monitor high school and middle school achievement test scores and teacher assessments. It's no wonder you three are good friends because you have all scored very high on our assessment evaluations."

"You will be entering high school soon and we would like to offer you enrollment in a highly specialized student program, similar to the Navy ROTC programs, but is a special program for gifted students such as yourselves. We would like to get you enrolled as soon as possible to take advantage of all the programs benefits, even though you are not yet in high school."

"I know this may be a shock, coming out of the blue like this, so with the help of your principal we would like you to think about it, ask as many questions as you want, and hopefully you will choose to join our program."

"This sounds like a wonderful opportunity for you girls. I'm so excited for you! I will speak with your parents about it and help you guys get all the paperwork in order." The principal happily chimes in.

All three girls stare at the Commander, a blank look on their faces. They have no idea what he's talking about, or why.

"Helana, this is Eileen, thinking at you. Do you know what the hell this guy is talking about?" Eileen asks, quietly.

"I'm joining all of you in a silent telepathic loop so we can speak in private. Just think at me and don't talk out loud. This guy seems to be who he claims to be, but I get the feeling he's much more than that. I don't remember anything in your history about the Navy. It's either something that you decided against, or it's something new, new to the time line, a change that I caused by coming here."

"That's exactly what it is, a change in the time line." Ella thinks to the group. "Nothing like this would ever have happened if Helana never came here, and that means that they know. The Navy knows that Helana is here, maybe not specifically who is here but that something is here and they want to know what it is. Oh My God, I hope they don't want to chop up Helana and dissect her. I've heard stories about that, the military chopping up aliens to see what makes them tick."

"Don't worry about me." Helana says "I can blink out of here in a micro-second if I'm in any danger. But lets hope it doesn't come to that. I don't want to go home just yet. Things are just starting to be fun."

"Let me get some information from this fool." Roxana thinks.

"Sir? Commander Sir? How does this work? Are there special classes that we would have to go to, and where would these classes be?" Roxana asks.

"The program uses multiple facilities." Commander Beaker explains. "In some cases we would use a classroom at your local high school. Other times we would pick you up in a van and take you to class at a local business, hotel, or military facility. Some classes would be after school or at night. There may also be special field trips that might last several days. All of this would be coordinated with your school and with your parents. And you can drop out at any time if the extra classes become too much for you."

"I have a very bad feeling about this guy. He's too smooth, slimy smooth. I don't want to do it." Thinks Eileen.

"I'll tell them." Ella thinks.

Ella addresses the Commander "This does sound like an exciting opportunity and I'm honored that you have offered it to us. But we don't know anything about the Navy and we never ever even talked about military stuff."

"It just doesn't sound like anything that we would be interested in. Maybe next year when we're in high school. Come back then and see how we feel about it."

"Oh girls. Don't be hasty. Give this some thought before you decline their offer. Do all you girls feel the same way?"

"Yep, me too." Roxana says.

"I agree. It's too soon for me. Maybe next year." Eileen says.

The girls leave the office. A disappointed Commander follows them into the hall.

A tell in poker is a change in a player’s behavior or demeanor that is claimed by some to give clues to that player’s assessment of their hand. A player gains an advantage if they observe and understand the meaning of another player’s tell, particularly if the tell is unconscious and reliable.

"Girls, one more thing before you go." the Commander says as he catches up to them in the hallway. "A word of advise. Do you know what a 'tell' is?"

"A 'tell'?" Ella asks.

"Yes, a 'tell'" The Commander explains. "A 'tell' is like when you get a really good hand at poker and you do something, hold you mouth a certain way, or fidget with your hair. That 'tells' the other players that you have a good hand and they should not bet against you. There are also 'tells', things people do with their face, their eyes, or their hands when they're lying."

"Are you saying that we're lying?" Eileen asks with an angry look on her face.

"No. You're not lying." the Commander explains. "But you girls do have a 'tell'. When speaking to each other telepathically don't look at each other. You give yourselves away. You really really need to take us up on this offer. You're in danger, and we can protect you, we can teach you how to protect yourselves. Your friend is in danger too."

"Hmmm. I've got to go with my gut feeling, and the advise of my 'friend'." Ella explains. "The only danger we feel right now, is you, and your secret program that nobody has ever heard of before. But do come back next year and see how it's going. Until then we will take care of ourselves."

The girls continue to walk down the hallway, the final bell has rung and Roxana's mom is waiting outside in the car.

Commander Beaker walks away briskly, talking on his phone.

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella

I can just barely see Helana, but there she is, conked out, sound asleep. I wish I could sleep that easily.

That feeling again, there it is. The sick feeling in my stomach. Eileen's Dad knows now! The freaking US Navy knows too! Double Trouble.

No doubt now that Helana needs to go home. But shit! If she goes to another dimension, another time line, that's the same as dying. It's like your best friend dying. I can't imagine that now. I've only known her for a little while but I don't know how I would live without her. I would spend the rest of my days wondering what's she doing, how is she doing, is she happy, is she sad. This is tearing me apart.

No way I'm letting her go. She has to stay. I don't know how, but she has to stay!

Ok Diary. I'm going to cry myself to sleep now.

Please Please Please can tomorrow be a drama free day?

Good night, my Diary.

Grief

calibanner
This is the 10th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

"What's going on?" Ella wants to know.

It looks like everyone's going to the auditorium." Roxana observes.

A sign in the hallway says "PLEASE GO TO THE AUDITORIUM FOR SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS."

As the girls enter the auditorium students are milling around, finding seats where they can. Most of the students seem confused by the sudden assembly, others seem sad. Some are in shock. A few students are in tears.

"This is going to be bad news. I can feel it." Eileen says, a look of fear growing on her face.

"I wonder who died?" Roxana says, already tearing up in anticipation of some really bad news.

A deep sense of foreboding and dread overcome the girls as they find a seat. They can feel their heart thumping rapidly as the principal takes the stage.

The principal speaks, her voice cracking as she struggles to get the words out.

"We have some very sad news to report this morning. At about 2AM I was alerted by our chief of police of an incident which occurred around midnight. He had news that could affect our students and wanted me to get prepared."

"Police and ambulance were called to a residence where a number of our high school students were having a secret party. These students were drinking alcohol and one student brought pills to the party, opioid pain killers he said he got from the dentist."

"These pills were shared among the children. The pills were not very strong, but strong enough to get the students intoxicated, alcohol and opioid intoxication."

"Additional pills were introduced to the group later. We don't know where these pills came from, or who brought them to the party. The pills appeared to be the same pills as the first ones, but they were not. These pills were fake, illicit pills which contained a substance more than a thousand times more potent than the first pills."

"Trying to maintain their intoxicated 'high' some of the students took several of these more potent pills. It was a fatal dose."

"Someone called 911, but not soon enough. After a valiant attempt by the EMT's using CPR and anti-opioid medication, three children were pronounced dead."

"Shelly Boyd, a popular high school cheer leader and a good student, has died."

"James Reagan, a popular athlete and glee club captain, has died."

"Ronald Jackson, a senior and a popular A student, has died."

"Five other students are hospitalized and may possibly face criminal charges."

Most of the students sit in stunned silence, disbelief. "It can't be true" that these very popular students could be dead. Students look around the room as if searching for some clue that it's all a big joke.

Ella with a lump in her throat so large she can't speak taps Roxana and Eileen and motions them to follow her outside.

I Don't Know How To Process This

"Those kids live on our street." Ella says "I woke up last night and was wondering why sirens were so close by. Three people that we know, that we see on a daily basis, died last night. I don't know how to process this. Lets walk home, to my house. I need to speak to my mom, and Helana too."

"Mom!" Ella cries as she runs into the house "Shelly, James, and Ronny are dead!"

Eileen and Roxana also come inside, both visibly upset.

Ella's mom hugs all three girls "I know, sweetie. It's on the news. I'm so sorry. The school has counselors available if you need someone to talk to. I'll take you there if you want."

"No. I, we, have all the counselors we need right here." Ella says "I'll be upstairs with my girls. We need some quiet time."

In Ella's room the girls sit quietly. They don't even look at each other as they try to privately process the news. Their brains are numb, thoughts are jumbled, the shock has stunned them into silence.

Finally after what seems like forever Ella speaks. "Helana? What happens when we die? Where are my friends? Can you see them?"

"No. I'm sorry. I can't see them. Even though I can see into some spiritual domains, I can't see most of them, there are millions of them. I'm so sorry this happened to your friends. It hurts me so much to see you sad. In your domain I'm not sure exactly what happens when you die. I can tell you, if you want, what my people believe, how we think it works in our domain, and it may be similar here." Helana responds with a sympathetic tone.

"Ok. Tell me." Ella says.

"In my domain there really isn't any such thing as physical death. But after hundreds of years some get bored and want to move on to another domain, and that is the same thing as what you call death. The difference is that we do it knowingly and you do not. We seldom re-manifest into the same domain we were born in. That causes problems and is frowned upon. In your domain, since you are born physical and then manifest as spirit, when your body dies, your spirit continues, and then you are just like us. Since you guys are not very aware of your spiritual nature, when you die, your spirit is many times very confused and doesn't understand what's going on. Your spirit may go to one of millions of domains like mine, but some stay here, on earth, as earth bound spirits."

Connected To Soul?

"So I don't know where your friends are. I can't see them or feel them. But that doesn't mean that they're not still around. There's a limitless number of spiritual domains they could go to, each of them a complete world they could live in, if they have connected to soul."

"Connected to soul? What does that mean?" Roxana wants to know.

"My spirit, which is what I really am, and your spirit, which is what you really are, is temporal, is individual and unique. Spirit has a beginning and an end. Soul, however, is a-temporal, is a collective, a collection of all the spirits that exist. Soul has no beginning and no end. Soul is eternal."

The Grand Originating Thought

"We believe that soul is actually the mind of the One Infinite Creator, the source of the Grand Originating Thought from which everything that exists came to exist. When my spirit or your spirit connects with soul, it in effect becomes part of the mind of God, and then we exist forever. All our memories, every thought we have ever had, every feeling we have ever felt becomes part of soul, forever. All life energy that sustains the spirit comes from soul."

"Soul generates a life force that energizes and perpetuates the spirit. Soul preserves the informational matrix which defines what the spirit is, who the spirit is. If we don't connect with soul, or for some reason loose that connection to soul, then the spirit will eventually run out of energy and fade away to nothing. That spirit that does not connect with soul ceases to exist, which means it's time line ends and all the memories, all of it's thoughts and feelings are lost."

"So our friends may just cease to exist, forever?" Eileen asks.

"From what I have been taught, connection to soul is automatic and it happens to every spirit. You have to be very evil to disconnect from soul. If you have just a little love, some kindness, just a smidgen of God like qualities, then soul will accept you."

"Your friends were stupid for doing those drugs, but I doubt the were so evil that soul would reject them. But that doesn't mean that they'll go to a nice domain. Spirit tends to migrate to a spiritual domain that they resonate with, a dimensional framework that's filled with other spirits similar in nature to them. So if they were mean and nasty people they may migrate to a mean and nasty domain, which is not fun at all."

"So those mean and nasty domains are like hell?" Ella asks?

"The hell described in your movies and literature does not really exist. But if you believe you deserve to be in hell, there are many hellish domains to choose from. In the spiritual domains we create our own heaven or hell. To a certain extent we also do that on the physical planets we live on."

"Ok." Ella says "But that doesn't help. I miss my friends, I want to see them again, I want to slap them around for being so stupid. I just don't want them to be gone."

"Yeah, I didn't think it would help much." Helana responds. "Our scientists spend life times thinking about this stuff, but in most cases it doesn't help much with everyday life. I believe that those who have passed on before me are somewhere, still alive, in one domain or another. But I still miss them."

"Hmm. I'll have to think about all this. Some of what you said is similar to what my church teaches, but most of it isn't. My priest would probably be mad at me for even listening to this, but I love you, so I will listen and honor your belief." Roxana says

"It's also similar in some ways to what my dad reads about, what ET's say, and what some psychics say, I think they're called 'channels'. But it's also very different." Eileen says.

"I wouldn't listen to channelers." Roxana says. "I don't trust them. They may be connected to bad spirits, trickster ET's, or demons."

The Fundamental Mystery Of Existence

"These are my teachings from my world, and a lot of it is speculation. We too have psychics and channels who bring wisdom from higher dimensional beings. But even that is speculative. We have come to the conclusion that even though higher dimensional beings have spent billions of years contemplating these things, they're still just guessing."

"No created being can truly understand the mind of the One Infinite Creator. No one truly understands the Mystery Of Existence, why anything exists at all. The answer to who we are, what we are, why we are here, and the true nature of the Creator remains a mystery. Anyone who says they have the answer is either confused, mistaken, or is lying."

"One more thing." Roxana wants to know. "Did some of those spirit bug thingies make them do those drugs?"

Helana explains "They may have been influenced by the bugs. When it comes to intoxication, though, there may be more to it. There are many of what are called earth bound spirits, human spirits, that have stayed in this domain. Some of them are very attracted to the energy of intoxication. So they'll strongly encourage users to do more drugs, do them faster, do all they can get. That influence could encourage a user to overdose. In this case, though, I think the kids just made a mistake - they didn't know what they were doing."

Ella is getting increasingly frustrated with the discussion. "Ok. enough of this. I've been taught to honor your beliefs, and I do, but I'm hearing theories, not answers. I'm going to see if Mom can cook some food, I'm starving. And can we just have some quiet time. I need you here, I want you here with me, but I need some quiet to process all this, and cry. Lets journal our thoughts and talk about them later."

"That sound good to me." Roxana says.

"Me too." Eileen agrees. "I wonder when the funerals are going to be? Maybe they'll let us out of school for those? It's the only way we can really say goodbye."

Eileen's and Roxana's mothers have joined Ella's mother, to cook some food, and to support their daughters in their time of grief.

I Find No Comfort In That

Hello Diary
It's me, Ella, but not the Ella from yesterday.

I feel different, not the same. I feel empty. I'm angry. I hate this feeling.

My friends died, and I don't know what to think about that.

I hear all the theories about spirits and heaven and all that stuff, but I find no comfort in that. It's all questions and no answers.

I can feel that Helana is very hungry tonight. I'm going to hold her tight and try to get some sleep.

Good night, my Diary.

Ella`s Story
My Love From The Future
Book One

Chapter 11
Big Bear

calibanner
This is the 11th in a series of episodes about 3 young girls who manage to adopt an inter-dimensional entity.

Cops In The Hall

"Cops in the hall." a voice rings out as several students look around nervously.

"I hope it's not Mom." Aileen thinks to herself.

A tap on the door brings the teacher to her feet. "Oh crap. Mom!" Aileen thinks as the door opens.

"May I please collect my daughter?" Mom addresses the teacher. "There's a gathering at the park, a search party for a young child thats gone missing. I would like Aileen to come join the search party."

"Absolutely. I hope they find the child." The teacher says as she directs Aileen to the door.

Roxana and Ella are waiting outside as Aileen and her mom leave the building.

In the car on the way to the park Ella asks "So what's this all about? Why do they want us to help look?"

"I was wondering that same thing." Aileen's mom responds. "Police, Fire, and the Army Rangers are there with dogs and helicopters. There's also a small group of Navy personnel assisting, and the commander requested you three by name. How does this guy know you? How are three little girls going to help?"

"Oh. He was at the school trying to recruit us for some special Navy ROTC program. We told him to come back next year when we're in high school." Aileen explains.

"Really? Why didn't you say anything about it? Does your dad know?" Mom wants to know.

"It's just that he seemed kind of creepy. Something about his story didn't make sense. So we told him to come back next year just to get rid of him." Ella explains.

"Creepy? Stranger danger kind of creepy?" Mom asks.

"Creepy in a different sort of way, like how the government has secret programs and stuff, like he wanted to make us spies or something. The whole thing just creep'd us out." Roxana explains.

"Oh. I see." Mom says "I'll have your dad check this guy out."

"Pleas don't!" Aileen pleads. "Dad will get all gung-ho to see us wearing uniforms. We don't care about military stuff. It's dumb!"

"You are a bit young to be making these decisions. You were wise to wait until high school." Mom says "We're here. Lets see what's going on."

There's a wave of searchers moving through the park and another wave heading up the hills beyond that park. Commander Beaker hurries over to where the girls are as a military helicopter buzzes overhead.

"Hello girls. Nice to see you again." Commander Beaker addresses the girls. "We really need your help on this one. A two year old boy suddenly disappeared right in front of his parents, and no trace of him has been found in the park or the hills beyond. Would it be possible that you could guide us where to look?"

Aileen's mom stares at Commander Beaker with a WTF? look on her face. Ella, Roxana, and Aileen stare at each other back and forth for about a minute, not saying anything.

Ella finally speaks "Probably sucked into a silent vortex. This area has significant underground crystalline structures, quarts and other minerals. That high peak beyond these little hills. Look over there."

Aileen's mom is totally flabbergasted by this point. "That peak is almost 4 miles away. There is no way a two year old could get over there by himself. Are you thinking he was abducted, did someone take him? What am I saying? How do you girls know anything about crystalline structures and vortexes?

"We study stuff like this in science class." Roxana explains.

"No, I'm not kidding!" Commander Beaker can be heard arguing on the field phone. A Marine helicopter can be seen approaching the peak as an Army helicopter follows.

The girls sit in the shade under a tree for about an hour. Commander Beaker comes up to Aileen's mom and addresses her. "Thank you so much officer, for bringing the girls. The boy has been recovered. He said he went there with a big bear, and the bear protected him. Sounds like something a two year old would dream up, doesn't it? Here's my phone number. I owe the girls dinner, or anything else they might like."

Mom drives silently, stunned by what just happened. She takes the girls home, since it's late in the afternoon and school is about out anyway. "Girls, I ... I don't think this is stuff they teach in your school. What the hell just happened? How did you ... How did you know where to look for the boy."

"Please Mom. Just let it drop. This isn't something for you to get worried about. Ask dad, OK? He knows about this stuff. It's just not your thing." Aileen counsels her mom.

Mom stares at the girls as they enter the house. She looks confused. She watches the girls as if she's starting to be afraid of them, like she doesn't even know who they are anymore.

"Navy? ROTC? Dinner?" Aileen's dad chatters on excitedly. "Call him! Lets have dinner at that lobster place the girls love. Tell the Commander to come along."

"This isn't anything to be happy about. I'm serious! Something weird is going on with the girls!" Aileen's mom complains.

"I am taking it seriously. I always take a free lobster dinner seriously. Don't worry, sweetie, I'll talk to the Commander and figure out what's going on. You needn't worry about it." Dad says patting his wife on her shoulder.

"Here's his stupid number. You call him! I'm tired of being treated like a child!! Even the girls treat me that way now." Aileen's mom complains as she stomps up the stairs to the bedroom.

The girls sit nervously at the table. It's their favorite restaurant, but they don't feel like tonight is going to be a treat. Commander Beaker approaches and introduces himself to Aileen's dad. They all sit and start looking at the menu.

Dad looks at the girls and then glances at the Commander. "He knows, doesn't he?"

"Apparently he knows something." Ella responds.

"We've been tracking the entity for a few weeks now." Commander Beaker explains "It's a good thing Navy has jurisdiction in this case, otherwise the entity, and your girls, could suddenly disappear, never to be found."

"Is it really that dangerous? Mi-lab dangerous?" Dad wants to know.

"Even more dangerous than military operations." the Commander explains. "That's why we wanted to get them into a program. That way, if it was necessary that they disappear, we could do it safely, without the juvenile entity or the young girls being harmed."

"I see." Dad responds "I didn't realize it was that serious. Helana, would you like to come out and introduce yourself to the Commander?"

"I will speak for her. She's not feeling well. All this drama must have tired her out." Ella says.

"Is she more visible now? Does she feel heavier?" The commander asks.

"Why?" Ella responds, staring intently at the Commander.

"This type of entity comes from an extremely light dimensional domain, billions of times less dense than ours." the Commander explains. "They typically comes here for a few minutes and just look around, and then leave. It's dangerous for them to be here very long."

"The density of this dimension will start to infuse into their physical body, and then they'll get too heavy to go home. Every electron, proton, fundamental particle in her body has absorbed high density energy from this domain. If she tried to go back now she would explode like a nuclear bomb. If Helana, I'm glad to finally know her name, isn't feeling well, feels weak, that has probably already started to happen."

"Ella, since you seem to be her primary guardian, you should probably start giving her some solid food, not just your energy, or she might starve."

Ella turns pale and gets a sick look on her face. "Oh Crap! Damn it all to hell!" Ella blurts out. "Helana, I'm so so so sorry. I really messed up keeping you here. I just feel sick. What are we going to do? Is Helana going to die if she can't go home?"

"If we're careful, she won't die. Slowly, over time, she will get denser, heavier, and she will grow to normal size. We have a scalar wave treatment that will accelerate the process. But we have to be careful."

"There are other groups, other entities that may want to harvest her for their own purposes. This must be kept secret. Helana has already revealed concepts to you that powerful forces want to keep secret. It's considered Forbidden Knowledge. For awhile we need to keep you guys hidden away, somewhere safe."

"When Helana fully normalizes to full size, there is less risk, she'll just be your sister, and a normal teenager like you guys. No one will be able to tell that she's from somewhere else. But while she's transforming she will be at risk." the commander Explains.

"Oh My God! Helana's freaking out! I can feel it." Roxana says.

"She's having a panic attack. She's crying." Ella says. "She wants to talk to her mom and dad and say she's sorry."

"We have a remote viewer who has already spoken to her parents. That's how we knew she was here. They're also very sad, but they're not mad. Helana made a bad mistake, but she's not a bad girl. She planned to return and no one would have known she was gone. She would have reappeared almost the same instant that she left. But she got stuck here and her time line moved forward, and she disappeared. Her parents came here looking for her and contacted our remote viewer, who could see them."

"She just got caught up in a situation she was not ready to deal with. Her parents are here often, watching, from a distance, never staying too long. They're happy that Aileen's dad has chosen to be her new parent, they like him, and will be as supportive as possible. They love Helana with all their heart and are not mad at her at all."

"So what do we do? How do we take care of our new sister?" Aileen asks.

"Join our program!" Commander Beaker says "We will keep you all safe, we will assist Helana in her transformation, we will get an identity set up for her so she isn't considered an alien, and we will continue your training as well. Helana has already taught you how to be telepathic, and that talent will continue to grow."

"There are many other aspects of Helana's nature that she will share with you, as you share your nature with her. Soon all four of you will become extraordinary individuals with talents, even powers, far beyond the normal human at this point along our time line."

"The Navy considers the four of you as a high priority project. As Helana's parents explained to us, the special place you girls have in our future, the extraordinary accomplishments that Helana came here to witness is actually a type of temporal paradox. Some may consider it a destiny."

"The future she witnessed was a potential future, not yet real. She realized that future, created that future, brought that future into existence by coming here. It's our job, our desire, to complete that future, to fully realize it. Helana's presence here is a gift to humanity, an opportunity that we don't want to miss. The four of you will make this world a much better place than it would otherwise have been."

"That's an awesome responsibility for four little girls. Are there others like these girls, working to make the world a better place?" Dad asks.

"Probably. We hope so, but this is the first we have found. We hope these girls are the first of many, but we don't know, which is why they're so very special. We understand the awesome responsibility that's put upon these young children, and we're making all our resources available to support it."

"The waitress is staring at us. Can we order now? I'm starving." Aileen says "And how do we feed Helana? I want to feed her."

"She isn't a little doll for you to play with!" Ella says to Aileen.

"Are you going to take Helana away from us? Take her to one of those secret bases and study her?" Roxana asks.

"Absolutely not!" Commander Beaker says. "It's important that all of you stay together. You have bonded and we need to keep that bond intact. We want to take all four of you to one of those secret bases, and we want to show you the world. We will visit the whole world from the north pole to the south pole. You can ride along on an aircraft carrier to the most exotic places on the planet. You might even get to ride into space.

"And you, Ella, since you are a lover of science you will get to see the cutting edge, the fanciest and most modern scientific technology in the world. But that's just for awhile. The most important thing will be to reintroduce you back into society, get you back to high school and college, and let your lives progress normally. You can, of course, choose a military career if you want to, but that's not required."

"Can it be done in three months, the transformation that is?" Dad wants to know "They have a three month school summer vacation. If we can sell this as a summer program, like a summer camp, then I think I can sell the idea to the other parents. If it's more than that, it will get difficult and the group may get split up."

"We will take what we can get." Commander Beaker says. "Lets set up a meeting with the parents as soon as possible. Time is of the essence!"

Hello Diary
Did today even happen? My head is still spinning.

Tomorrow all our parents meet at the school to talk to Commander Beaker about us going into a special program.

My parents are going to freak, but they'll probably go along with it.

Helana is so sick, she needs our help, so I guess we have to do it.

And that bear. That's so weird. Helana explained that there are in some places silent invisible vortices's, little spinning places in space, where different dimensions collide. The dimensions are moving relative to each other so if you get sucked into one there is a sudden extreme acceleration.

Grown ups are usually killed. They just find their shoes, their socks and trousers pulled inside out as their body is jerked out of them so fast. But little kids being so small and light can sometimes survive.

That bear was probably a dimensional entity that cared for the boy until they could return him.

This planet is weird, much weirder than I every imagined.

I hope we don't have to wear some stupid uniform when we're in the Navy.

I wonder if we get to shoot guns. I want to shoot a machine gun.

Good night, my Diary.
